Leonard continues his strong performance
Kawhi Leonard was questionable to play against Washington, but instead of sitting out, he scored 33 points and shot 7 of 11 from 3-point range in the Clippers' 119-105 win, covering the 11.5 points. James Harden added 22 points and eight assists as Los Angeles continued their solid play. They were also able to sit Ivica Zubac (ankle) and John Collins (groin) as both are now listed as questionable.
Zubac has been dealing with an ankle issue for awhile, but he played on Monday, scoring nine points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the Clippers' 117-109 win over Charlotte. He's averaging 14.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, while Collins adds 13.1 points and 5.0 rebounds. He also played against Charlotte so it's likely they sat with minor injuries because they could still beat the woeful Wizards without them. Leonard (28.2 ppg) would have been a much bigger loss.
On DunksandThrees.com, the Clippers rank 16th in Adjusted Net Rating, 10th in Adjusted Offense and 19th in Adjusted Defense. The Clippers are tied with Memphis for the 10th seed in the West.

Raptors looking for consistency
Toronto is comingoff a 115-101 win over Indiana on Wednesday as a 1.5-point dog. They've won five of their last seven games, but fell at home to Philadelphia on Monday and at Boston on Jan. 9. Part of their issues has been a lack of depth due to injuries. In their last game against Indiana, they played without G RJ Barrett (ankle), F Sandro Mamukelasvili (illness), C Jakob Poeltl (back) and GĀ Immanuel Quickley (back).
There aren't many teams who an win games without that much talent on the bench. It helps to have Brandon Ingram (30 pts vs. Pacers), Scottie Barnes (26 pts, 13 asts,Ā 7 rebs) and two youngsters who stepped up against the Pacers in Collin Murray-Broyles (10 pts, 10 rebs) and Gradey Dick (21 pts, 11 rebs). Beating the dismal Pacers is one thing, but they'll need several of those players back against the Clippers. Ingram (21.9 ppg, 6.1 rpg) and Barnes (19.4 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 5.4 apg) are two lengthy players, who are tough to defend. Barrett (19.6 ppg, 23 games) has been productive when healthy and Quickley (16.5 ppg, 6.1 apg) is a high-scoring lead guard.
The Raptors are elite defensively, holding teams to just 46.1% from the field to rank sixth. They are 15th in Adjusted Net Ratings, 22nd in Adjusted Offensive Rating, and 7th in Adjusted Defense.
Clippers vs. Raptors Pick and Prediction
Spread Pick and Odds for Clippers and Raptors
- LA Clippers to cover (4 units)
The injuries for Toronto make it difficult to take the home team. Barrett hasn't played since Jan. 9 and Poeltl is listed as out. That takes away a 7-footer up front and allows Zubac and Collins to control the paint and the boards. The Clippers have covered four straight and five of six. They've also won and covered three of their last four road games. The Clippers need to keep winning to get back in the playoff hunt in a tougher league. If the Raptors were in the Western Conference, they'd be fighting for the eighth spot.
Total Picks for Clippers vs. Raptors
- Under (4 units)
The Raptors are 24th in pace of play and their biggest strength is their top-10 defense. The Clippers, considering their aging backcourt of Harden (37) and Leonard (36) and center Brook Lopez (37), want to slow the pace down even more (29th in pace). Toronto has gone under in two straight and four of their last six games.
