Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Golden State Warriors, Picks and Prediction, Friday, Dec. 12, 2025
It's NBA Cup week, but we still have a key NBA matchup in this Timberwolves vs. Warriors prediction. Minnesota (15-9, 8-16 ATS) is having a strong first half, while Golden State (13-12, 13-12 ATS) could use a boost and some young lefts, though they've won two straight games. This is their first meeting since last season, the T-Wolves took four of five in their playoff series, after losing three of four in the regular season. Ant is on fire
Minnesota had won five straight games before falling to Phoenix in an NBA Cup game on Dec. 8, as an 8-point home favorite. Anthony Edwards scored 40 points to lead the T-Wolves, who shot just 7 of 26 (26%) from long range. Edwards (foot) is listed as questionable for this game, while backup point guard Mike Conley (Achilles) is out.
On DunksandThrees.com, Minnesota is ranked 11th in Adjusted Net Rating, 9th in Adjusted Offense and 10th in Adjusted Defense. Edwards averages 28.7 points per game and 3.8 assists, while Julius Randle adds 22.9 points and 7.1 rebounds. Point guard Donte DiVicenzo contributes 13.2 points and 3.7 assists, taking the place of Conley.
Warriors wake up on the road
Golden State was awful in late November, losing four of their last six and six of their last eight games heading into their road game against Cleveland. They won that game on Dec. 6, 99-94 as a 9.5-point dog and then beat Chicago in their last game the next day, 123-91 as a 1-point favorite.
More impressive was the fact that they beat Chicago without Steph Curry as Brandin Podziemski led the way with 21 points and eight rebounds off the bench and former lacrosse star Pat Spencer added 12 points, six assists and five rebounds. DunksandThrees.com has the Warriors ranked 9th in Adjusted Net Rating despite their 13-12 record and second in Adjusted Defensive rating.
In terms of injuries, F Draymond Green (personal) will miss this game.
Spread and Pick for T-Wolves vs. Warriors
Timberwolves vs. Warriors Pick and Prediction
- Golden State -4 (4 units)
It never hurts that the Warriors, with mid-30s players in Jimmy Butler and Curry, to get extra rest, while the T-Wolves just played Monday. That line might reflect the fact that Edwards may not play, but either way, take the well-rested Warriors with Curry sitting out the last game and that guy still averages 27.9 points per game and is shooting 39.1% from beyond the arc. This is also a revenge game for Golden State after losing that playoff series last season.
Over/Under Pick for T-Wolves vs. Warriors
- Under 227.5 (5 units)
Neither of these teams wants to run as Golden State ranks 21st in pace of play and Minnesota is at 17. Some of that for Minnesota is due to Rudy Gobert, who is more of a halfcourt center, while Curry and Butler want to take their time due to their age. The Warriors have gone under in three straight and five of six games.
