Luguentz Dort, Isaiah Hartenstein, Isaiah Joe, Cason Wallace (14 points), Ousmane Dieng, Alex Caruso and Jaylin Williams have to be contributors if they hope to have success. Atlanta Playing Second Game of Back-to-Back
Atlanta was in action on Friday night on the road as they took on Orlando in a Southeast Division clash. The Hawks entered Friday 0-1 and sat tied for third in the Southeast Division, one game behind the Magic and Hornets for the top spot. Last season, Atlanta was 9-8 in the second game of back-to-back situations with a +1.8-ppg scoring differential (116 ppg for, 114.2 ppg against) in those contests. The Hawks were 21-19 at home with a -1.3-ppg scoring margin (118.2 ppg for, 119.5 ppg against) in 2024-25. Atlanta was 10-20 against Western Conference foes with a -6.4-ppg scoring margin (115.7 ppg for, 122.1 ppg against) last season.
In their season opener against Toronto, Atlanta never led by more than two points in the game as they were run out of their own building. Onyeka Okongwu added 18 off the bench, Zaccharie Risacher put up 16 and Nickeil Alexander-Walker chipped in 10 in a losing effort.

Thunder vs. Hawks Pick
Thunder vs. Hawks Spread Pick
- Thunder (4 units)
Oklahoma City won both their games this season, going to double overtime in both contests. Despite being without Jalen Williams, the Thunder has still thrived and survived as the reigning MVP, Gilgeous-Alexander, has piled up 90 points already this year. Mitchell has stepped up with additional minutes and the Thunder enters this game with a rest advantage. Atlanta was blown out in their own building by Toronto in their season opener and is playing the second game of a back-to-back set here. The Hawks were minus two starters in Friday’s contest, and it’s tough to see them keeping pace with the defending champs. Take the Thunder in this contest.
Thunder vs. Hawks Spread Pick
- Over (4 units)
Oklahoma City saw the over post a 55-49-2 mark in the 2024-25 campaign. The Thunder was a stellar third in offensive efficiency and was one of the teams that loved to push the pace, as they were sixth in the league in tempo with 100 possessions a night. Oklahoma City has gone over the number in both games this season. Atlanta had the second-highest over percentage in the league last season, posting a 51-32-1 mark to the over in 2024-25. The Hawks were 18th in offensive efficiency despite ranking fifth in scoring offense (118.2 ppg), in part as they were third in pace with 102.6 possessions a night. We saw Atlanta combine with Toronto for 256 points in their opener. Look for this game to wind up over the total.
