The Thunder are 1st in the league in scoring defense as they allow an average of 108 points a night. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads the team with 32 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest. The Thunder look to Chet Holmgren (17.7 points, 8.5 rebounds), Jalen Williams (16.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists), Ajay Mitchell (14.1 points) and Aaron Wiggins (10.6 points) as other secondary scoring options. Luguentz Dort, Isaiah Hartenstein (10.9 points, 10 rebounds), Isaiah Joe (9.6 points), Cason Wallace (7.8 points), Ousmane Dieng, Alex Caruso and Jaylin Williams have to be contributors if they hope to have success. Oklahoma City is 3rd in the league in field goal percentage as they shoot 48.9% from the floor as a team on the year. Magic vs. Thunder Pick

Magic vs. Thunder Spread Pick

  • Thunder -7 (4 units)

This one is a bit dicey when you look at the names on the Thunderโ€™s injury report. Four of the ideal five starters for the defending champs are questionable or out, which will test their depth. While that hasnโ€™t impacted them much this season, the fact remains that it is far from ideal. Orlando is relatively healthy though missing Franz Wagner is a blow for the team. The Magic has had their issues offensively and dealing with the leagueโ€™s top offensive unit is going to test them. Orlando hangs around but Oklahoma City has too much firepower to contend with, especially a home, where they are 21-4 on the year. Take the Thunder to pick up win number 40.

Magic vs. Thunder Over/Under Pick

  • Under 220.5 (4 units)

Orlando entered Monday having gone over the total in 24 of their 48 games on the season. The Magic is 18th in scoring offense, 16th in offensive efficiency, 16th in defensive efficiency and 15th in terms of pace with 99.8 possessions a game. Oklahoma City has gone over the number in 26 of their 50 games this season entering this game. The Thunder is 1st in scoring offense, 4th in offensive efficiency, 1st in defensive efficiency and 17th in adjusted tempo with 99.6 possessions per contest. Three of the last four meetings fell short of the number. With the Magic sputtering offensively, the Thunder sound defensively and the lengthy injury report, look for this game to end up falling under the number.
