The Orlando Magic (1-2, 0-3 ATS, 1-2 O/U) take on the Philadelphia 76ers (2-0, 1-1 ATS, 2-0 O/U) in an Eastern Conference meeting on Monday evening, and we have you covered with the prediction. The Magic dropped a home meeting against the Bulls on Saturday. The 76ers posted a home win against the Hornets in their previous action. The Magic went 3-1 against the 76ers last season.

Can the 76ers keep their undefeated record intact on Monday evening? Continue reading for the Magic vs. 76ers prediction. Nobody does it better when it comes to NBA Picks!

Magic Dealt Home Loss by Hawks

The Orlando Magic begin a road trek on Monday evening. Orlando is considered one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference this season. They have been busy opening the year. The Magic earned a home win against the Heat in the opener and were dealt a narrow 111-107 home defeat against the Hawks in their second game. Next, the Magic sustained a 110-98 home defeat against the Bulls on Saturday in a meeting that had the Magic as six-point favorites. The Magic have yet to cover the spread in three games this year.

Paolo Banchero is an elite scorer. The 22-year-old star missed nearly half the season last year due to injury. He wasn’t quite as sharp as expected on Saturday, scoring 24 points but on a 33% efficiency. He is averaging 19.7 PPG and 9 RPG in three games. He sunk 20 points in his only meeting against the 76ers last season.  Franz Wagner is another player who missed 20+ games last season. The 24-year-old is an outstanding player. He scored 17 points on Saturday and has averaged 22.7 PPG on a 53% mark from the field so far this season.

Orlando made a big move by acquiring Desmond Bane in the offseason. The 27-year-old guard is a huge threat from beyond the arc, but has only connected on 26% of his shots this season. Bane scored 23 points in the opener and has posted an average of 17.3 PPG. Jalen Suggs has scored a total of 25 points in two games.  The 24-year-old guard had the best year of his career last season, averaging 16 PPG in 35 games played, and is averaging 15 PPG this season. He did not play on Saturday due to injury management and is expected to play in this one.

Wendell Carter Jr. can be a threat. The veteran scored eight points on Saturday and is averaging 9 PPG on 31% shooting along with 9.7 RPG. Moritz Wagner remains out with an injury. This marks Orlando's first road game of the season. They went 19-22 on the road last year.

Orlando has averaged 110 points after three games, ranking them 26th. The Magic are known more for their stifling defense. They have conceded an average of 114 points, good for seventh in the NBA.

Philadelphia Eyes Third Win of Season

The Philadelphia 76ers are not expected to make noise this season, but they could easily exceed expectations if key players can avoid injuries. The 76ers have only played two games. They began the season with a huge 117-16 road win against a potent Celtics team on Thursday. They were six-point dogs in that one. Next, the 76ers came through with a 125-121 home win against the Honers on Saturday, but did not cover the five-point spread. They have covered the spread in one of two games.

Tyrese Maxey had a great 2024-2025 season, and they will need him to succeed again this year. The 24-year-old guard has been sharp. He scored 40 points in the opener and another 28 points in the win on Saturday. He averaged 20.3 points in three games against the Magic last season.

A player to watch is rookie guard VJ Edgecomb. He was the #2 pick in the past NBA draft. The 20-year-old shooting guard has been a huge threat, scoring 34 and 15 points on 46% shooting in two games. Kelly Oubre Jr. will be relied on to play heavy minutes after averaging 15.1 PPG last year. The 29-year-old guard scored 10 points in the opener and 19 points on Saturday.

Quentin Grimes was acquired in a deal with the Mavericks last season. He was dominant since the trade last year, averaging 21.9 PPG. After two games, Grimes has scored 34 points. Joel Embiid was quiet in the opener and scored 20 points on Saturday. The center has not been able to stay healthy the past few seasons. The 76ers went 12-29 at home last season.

Philadelphia has averaged 121 points in two games, marking them 11th. They have squandered 118.5 points, placing them 12th in the NBA. C Joel Embiid (knee) is out for this game.

Magic vs. 76ers Pick

Spread Pick for Magic vs. 76ers

  • Orlando Magic -3.5 (5 units)

The Orlando Magic are one of the best teams in the conference. They were decimated with injuries last year, which put a damper on the season. If they can stay healthy, they should be atop the division. The Magic are 1-2 but did not have Suggs in the recent defeat. He is expected to play. The 76ers beat the Hornets on Saturday, but Charlotte had the better field goal efficiency.

Furthermore, the 76ers are not expected to be a huge threat. They were weak defensively last year, ranking last in opponent field goal %. Paul George and Embiid are out with injuries. Philadelphia has attempted an average of 39.5 threes per game after three games this season. This is key as the Magic are keeping opponents to just 33% shooting from deep. The Magic enjoyed success against the 76ers last season, posting a 3-1 record against the rivals, keeping them to 102 or fewer points in each game.

Over/Under Pick for Magic vs. 76ers

  • Over 223.5 (5 units)

I expect this one to go over. Orlando was efficient against the 76ers last year, connecting on 46% of its field goals. Also, although a smaller sample size, Orlando has been playing at a quick tempo this season, averaging 108 possessions per game, ranking them 10th in the NBA in pace.

In addition, Philadelphia scored 125 points in the win on Saturday. They have been accurate. They connected on 40% of their threes against the Celtics and shot 46% from beyond the arc in the win on Saturday. Philadelphia leads the NBA in three-point efficiency. The over is a convincing 10-1 in the 76ers' past 11 games in October.
