Pacers win two straight and get some rest
Indiana has had a tough first 1/3 of the season, going 6-18 (13-11 ATS). They've had a tremendous number of injuries starting in the NBA Finals, with the Achilles' injury to Tyrese Haliburton. But they're starting to get healthy and it showed with Bennedict Mathurin returning to the lineup. He had 25 points in their 116-105 win over Sacramento on Monday, and Andrew Nembhard led the way with 28 points and a season-high 12 assists.
According to DunksandThrees.com, Indiana ranks 23rd in Net Rating, 27th in Adjusted Offense and 19th in Adjusted Defense. Pascal Siakam leads the team with 24.5 points and 7.0 rebounds, while Mathurin adds 21.5 points and 5.6 rebounds.

- G Ben Sheppard (calf) is out.
- G Aaron Nesmith (knee) is out another week.
Sixers are coming on
Philadelphia (13-10) lost its last game on Dec. 7 before this mini-NBA Cup break, 112-108. But before that, they had won three straight and four of five games. Joel Embiid had a rough game against the Lakers, going 4 for 21 and 0-for-6 from three-point range. He had 16 points, and Paul George added 12 points.
The key for the Sixers is for those two to stay healthy, but Tyrese Maxey has become a superstar with 31.5 points and 7.2 assists per game, while shooting 39.1% from long range. Embiid has played in just nine of their 23 games due to his knee issues. According to DunksandThrees.com, Philly is 15th in Net Rating, 18th in Adjusted Offense and 13th in Adjusted Defense.

Embiid may never be 100% and George is getting up there in age. Mathurin getting back in the lineup is huge for the Pacers, who won't be a contender this season, but should have a much better record once Aaron Nesmith also gets back in the lineup. It's tough to judge numbers in this one with so many injuries to both teams but take the points despite Indiana's road record. They've also covered eight of their last 10 games.
