Phoenix overcame a 20-point deficit this past Wednesday. The Suns gave up 71 first-half points, but they held the Kings to just 45 points in the second half. Phoenix shot 47.4% from the field and made just 10 of its 34 attempts from deep. However, the Suns grabbed 18 offensive rebounds.
Devin Booker led the way for the Suns in their season opener. He had 31 points and five rebounds in 36 minutes on the floor. The Clippers were embarrassed in their season opener
The Los Angeles Clippers visited the Utah Jazz last Wednesday, looking to start their 2025-26 campaign on a high note. The Clippers were listed as 10.5-point favorites, but Tyronn Lue and his boys embarrassed themselves.
The Jazz routed the Clippers 129-108. Utah won the first quarter 43-19 and never looked back. The Jazz shot 55.2% from the field (17-for-44 from deep), while the Clippers made just 44.3% of their field goals (14-for-45 from deep).
James Harden posted a double-double of 15 points and 11 assists, but he went just 2-for-9 from downtown. Ivica Zubac accounted for 19 points and seven rebounds, while Kawhi Leonard had 10 points and four boards.
Bradley Beal had just five points in 20 minutes on the floor in his Clippers debut. John Collins and Brook Lopez played their first minutes in the Clippers uniform, too. Collins had 14 points and seven rebounds, and Lopez added 15 points (5-for-11 from deep).

The Suns have flaws, but they showed character in the second half of the Kings game. Should they remain aggressive on the glass and give their best on the defensive side of the ball, the Suns will keep it close against the Clippers.
