Portland Trail Blazers vs. Golden State Warriors Picks and Prediction for Friday, November 21, 2025
Portland Trail Blazers (6-9) vs. Golden State Warriors (9-8)
The 2025 NBA Cup brings nine games on Friday night, including the West Group C showdown from Chase Center in San Francisco, CA, so we’ve got the Trail Blazers vs. Warriors prediction to get you prepared.
Portland meets Golden State for the second time this season. Back in October, the Trail Blazers trounced the Warriors 139-119 at Moda Center in Portland. It was Tiago Splitter’s debut as the Trail Blazers' interim head coach.
Let’s look closer at this Blazers vs. Warriors prediction, one of our NBA picks for Friday’s slate. The tip-off at Chase Center is set at 10:00 PM ET, and the Warriors open as 6.5-point favorites with a total of 237.5 points. Both Portland and Golden State sit at 1-1 in the NBA Cup.

The Trail Blazers look to stop their four-game slide
The Portland Trail Blazers (6-9; 7-7-1 ATS; 11-4 O/U) have won four of their first five contests with Tiago Splitter at the helm. Since then, the Blazers have gone 2-7 SU and 2-6-1 ATS, and Portland is now winless in four straight outings.
The Trail Blazers are coming off a back-to-back home set against Phoenix and Chicago. After a 127-110 defeat to the Suns on Tuesday, the Blazers suffered a heartbreaking 122-121 loss against the Bulls last Wednesday.
Nikola Vucevic hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Bulls over the Blazers, who managed to erase a 21-point deficit. Portland posted a whopping 26 offensive rebounds, but the Blazers went just 12-for-42 from deep and 21-for-32 from the foul line.
Deni Avdija posted a triple-double of 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists against Chicago. He leads the way for Portland with 25.9 points per game, while Shaedon Sharpe adds 22.6 points a night. The Blazers score 116.3 points per 100 possessions (15th in the NBA) and allow 118.0 points in return (22nd).
Key Injury Report for Portland:
- C Robert Williams III (knee) is questionable.
- G Shaedon Sharpe (calf) is questionable. Second in scoring.
- G Jrue Holiday (calf) is questionable.
- G Scoot Henderson (hamstring) is questionable.
The Warriors hope to snap a two-game skid
The Golden State Warriors (9-8; 9-8 ATS; 11-6 O/U) just finished their six-game road trip with a 3-3 SU and ATS record. The trip started with a 126-102 loss at the Oklahoma City Thunder. Then, the Warriors strung together three wins before losing consecutive games against the Orlando Magic 121-113 and the Miami Heat 110-96.
Steph Curry dropped 34 points on the Magic, but Orlando outscored Golden State 64-46 in the paint and missed just two of its 29 shots from the foul line. Curry (ankle) didn’t play against the Heat last Wednesday, and the Warriors made just 35.8% of their field goals (13-for-49 from deep).
Curry leads the way for Golden State with 27.9 points per game, while Butler tallies 20.1 points a night. The Warriors rank 23rd in the NBA in adjusted offensive efficiency (112.9 points per 100 possessions) and eighth in adjusted defensive efficiency (112.8).
Key Injury Report for Warriors:
Golden State missed five players last Wednesday, including Draymond Green (illness) and Jimmy Butler (back), who are both considered day-to-day. Jonathan Kuminga (knee) missed his fourth straight contest and is doubtful for Friday’s clash against Portland.
Trail Blazers vs. Warriors Pick
Spread Pick for Trail Blazers vs. Warriors
- Golden State Warriors -6.5 (5 units)
There are a lot of moving parts in this game. I mentioned a long list of injured Warriors, and the Trail Blazers might miss Shaedon Sharpe (calf) and Jrue Holiday (calf). Sharpe didn’t play against the Bulls last Wednesday, while Holiday is in danger of missing his fourth straight game. Scoot Henderson (hamstring) is out for sure.
I expect both Curry and Butler to suit up. It was a long road trip for the Warriors, and their best players desperately needed some rest. Now, they are looking to get revenge for that heavy loss at Moda Center in Portland.
Golden State is arguably a better defensive team than Portland. The Blazers are 20th in the NBA in opposing 3-point percentage (36.4%), and the Warriors heavily lean on 3-pointers. Golden State leads the league in 3-point rate (.505) and ranks 11th in 3-point percentage (36.7%).
Over/Under Pick for Trail Blazers vs. Warriors
- Over 237.5 (5 units)
The Trail Blazers love to push the ball in transition and crush the offensive glass. They are second in the NBA in pace (103.1 possessions per 48 minutes) and offensive rebound percentage (32.6%). However, their defensive rebound percentage is the fourth-worst in the league (70.7%), while Golden State ranks eighth in this category (75.1%).
The Warriors register 100.6 possessions per 48 minutes (14th in the NBA). They won’t mind speeding things up in this matchup. The Warriors will continue to rely on 3-pointers, so give me the over on the total.
