Trail Blazers vs. Rockets Pick

Trail Blazers vs. Rockets Spread Pick

  • Rockets -8 (4 units)

Portland has been punching out of their weight class so far this season and itโ€™s bound to catch up with them sooner or later. The Trail Blazers are below average on the glass and have to contend with a Rockets team that leads the league in rebounding. Houston tops the league with 15.8 offensive boards a night while Portland surrenders 11.5 offensive rebounds per contest. The Rockets have shot the ball remarkably well to this point of the year, ranking in the top five in both field goal and three-point percentage, so giving extra looks is going to burn anyone. Houston is relatively healthy, while Portland is missing some pieces theyโ€™d like to have on the floor. Give the edge to the Rockets, who improve to 4-1 at home with a win here.

Trail Blazers vs. Rockets Over/Under Pick

  • Over 234.5 (4 units)

Portland has seen the over post an 8-3 mark in their first 11 games this season. The Trail Blazers are seventh in the league in scoring offense, 13th in offensive efficiency and 2nd in adjusted tempo with an average of 103.2 possessions a night this season. Houston has seen the over post a 6-2 mark in their eight games on the season. The Rockets are third in scoring offense and first in offensive efficiency despite ranking 27th in the league in terms of tempo with 97.2 possessions per game on the year. With the way the Trail Blazers are scoring right now and the Rockets having firepower of their own, this game winds up over the total at the final buzzer.
