Sacramento is Loaded With Former Bulls
The revenge in the air will be thick as the Sacramento Kings have built their roster around a couple of former Bulls. Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan are Sacramento's top two scorers, and both previously played with Chicago. Sacramento is trying to compete in the difficult Western Conference, but lost two of their first three games, with their only win coming over Utah. They most recently lost to the Lakers in a game where they allowed 51 points to Austin Reaves. Sacramento was led by LaVine, who finished with 32 points in the loss.
LaVine has been the leading scorer for Sacramento through three games. He is an athletic two guard, but has not gone above the rim quite as frequently as he used to. Through three games, LaVine is averaging 31.0 PPG, and rarely comes off the court as he has played at least 35 minutes in all three games. LaVine went 4-9 from deep in each of his last two outings. DeRozan is now 36 years old, but still has a strong mid-range game and is averaging 19.0 PPG through the first three. Malik Monk comes off the bench as an electric scorer; he dropped 20 off the bench in the win over the Jazz.
Domantas Sabonis does not have a game made for highlight reels, but he is efficient and puts up strong numbers. So far this year, he is getting 11.0 PPG and 13.0 RPG, and has excellent court vision out of the post. Keon Ellis and Dennis Schroeder have been their starting backcourt, with the two quick guards making their strongest presence on the defensive end. Russell Westbrook was a recent addition to the roster and is averaging 10.3 PPG to start the year.

Bulls Start Undefeated
The Chicago Bulls have opened the season with three consecutive games against Eastern Conference opponents and have won all three to get a head start on the Central Division this season. They won two games at home against the Pistons and Hawks, and also won a road game against the Magic. Chicago is looking to build on their season from last year, which saw it finish 10th in the East. In their last game, Ayo Dusonmu led the team in scoring with 21 points off the bench in the win over Atlanta.
Chicago's top player this season has been their veteran center Nikola Vucevic, as he leads the team with 20.0 PPG and 13.0 RPG. The 35-year-old is a strong center at 260 pounds, even if he is slightly undersized at 6'9. Vucevic is in his sixth season with Chicago after coming over from a successful career in Orlando. Josh Giddey has a strong floor game and has accepted a bigger role since coming over from Oklahoma City. Giddey is averaging 19.3 PPG, 8.7 RPG and 6.3 APG. Dosunmu has been their spark off the bench. The athletic guard is averaging 16.7 PPG with the second unit.
Matas Buzelis is their second-year player who the team is hoping can blossom into a star. He participated in the dunk contest last season and is averaging 13.3 PPG and 4.7 RPG to start the year. Kevin Huerter is a shooter off the bench, while Tre Jones and Isaac Okoro have been filling out the rest of the starting lineup.

Kings vs. Bulls picks
Spread pick and prediction for Kings vs. Bulls
- Bulls to cover (5 units)
The Bulls will go on to be the most unsuspecting 4-0 team this season, as they have had a favorable schedule, and get another boost here due to Sacramento's travel plans. The Kings have to play in Oklahoma City on Tuesday night, then immediately fly to Chicago to take on the Bulls the next night. Playing the reigning champs is no easy task, so the Kings will be beat up as they head to this game in the Midwest. Chicago has a strong frontcourt with Vucevic; he can go head-to-head with Sabonis in the post. The Bulls also have Dosunmu as an elite wing defender to take on LaVine. The Bulls are off to a strong start, and get another favorable matchup here with Sac-Town on their tail end of a back-to-back.
Take the Bulls against the spread.
Over/Under Pick for Kings vs. Bulls
- Under (4 units)
Each team is dealing with an injury to a key contributor, and the Kings will be on their second night of a back-to-back. This will be a low-scoring game. Keegan Murray just signed a big deal with the Kings, but he will miss this game, which takes away a sweet shooting forward who can stretch defenses. Chicago is still without Coby White, who is their playmaking point guard who can also shoot from deep. The teams will be forced to go deeper into their bench, limiting scoring in this battle. Sacramento may be likely to give fewer minutes to their veterans, including DeRozan and Sabonis in this quick turnaround. Expect a low-scoring game here.
Take the under.
