Defensively, the Raptors have been middle of the pack, ranking 15th in scoring defense at 116.4 points allowed per game, but they’ve shown steady improvement over the past two weeks.
Cavs on a back-to-back
The Cleveland Cavaliers have also won five of their last six, bouncing back from a 140–138 overtime loss to Miami on Monday by defeating the Heat 130–116 in the rematch on Wednesday. Impressively, they did so without Donovan Mitchell or Evan Mobley, who both rested.
Jarrett Allen stepped up in a big way with 30 points and 10 rebounds, while De’Andre Hunter added 21 points and Craig Porter Jr. chipped in 11 points off the bench.
Mitchell, who ranks fourth in the NBA with 30.4 points per game, is expected to return against Toronto after sitting out Wednesday’s contest for rest. Mobley, who also rested for the last game, is averaging 20.4 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.
Despite ranking only 23rd in field goal percentage and 16th in three-point percentage, Cleveland is fourth in the NBA in scoring, averaging 123 points per game. The Cavs have been playing at an accelerated tempo, ranking fifth in pace, which has helped compensate for their streaky shooting. On defense, Cleveland is allowing 117.6 points per game (19th).

The Cavs are still without Darius Garland, but have thrived with the "next man up" mentality. They did well on Wednesday without Mitchell or Mobley. With their stars expected to return on Thursday night, I expect Cleveland to make a statement at home after dropping the Halloween meeting.

Neither defense has been elite, and even if Cleveland pulls ahead, Toronto has enough offensive weapons to keep the scoring flowing late.
