Raptors vs. Cavaliers Pick
Raptors vs. Cavaliers Spread Pick
- Cavaliers -7.5 (4 units)
Toronto has had major issues defensively and especially on the boards this season, ranking dead last in rebounding entering Thursday night. The Raptors have to find a way to slow opposing teams if they hope to have any success on the year. Cleveland was handled by Boston as their shooting went cold over the final three quarters on Wednesday night. The Cavaliers downed the Bucks in their lone home game this season and we’ve seen the Raptors crumble after their season-opening win over Atlanta. Mitchell was questionable but did play against Boston the other night, so he’ll likely take the floor here as well. Toronto plays their fifth game in eight nights here and that wears them down. Take Cleveland on the road in this contest.
Raptors vs. Cavaliers Over/Under Pick
- Over 237.5 (4 units)
Toronto has gone over the mark in four of their five games on the year. The Raptors are 9th in the league in scoring offense, 14th in offensive efficiency, and 6th in tempo by averaging 104.5 possessions a night. Toronto has given up at least 118 points in all five games this season. Cleveland stands 17th in the league in scoring offense, 18th in offensive efficiency and 14th in tempo with an average of 101.9 possessions per game. With the way Toronto is struggling defensively and Cleveland’s success shooting from the perimeter, we see the points pile up here, and that pushes things over the total.
