Toronto Doesn't Mind Leaving Canada
The Toronto Raptors have played well on the road this season, piling up a 16-9 road record, while winning each of their last four road games. The Raptors were on a West Coast road trip that concluded with victories over the Warriors, Kings, Blazers and Thunder to close the trip. Toronto is currently 4th in the East, but just one game behind the Celtics up in second place. In their last game, Toronto got 27 points from Brandon Ingram in the loss to the Knicks.
Ingram is having a strong season for the Raptors, and will the All-Star voters will have a difficult decision while figuring out what to do with this Raptor team. Ingram hasn't been an All-Star since 2020, but the 6'8 forward is the leading scorer for the 4th place Raptors, while putting up a stat line including 21.7 PPG and 5.9 RPG. Another option for voters is Scottie Barnes, he was an All-Star in 2024 and is putting up 19.4 PPG, 8.3 RPG and 5.6 APG while displaying a complete game. RJ Barrett is a strong wing scorer bringing another 18.8 PPG on the wing.
Immanuel Quickley starts at the point where he scorer 16.6 PPG, but they are missing a true center as Collin Murray-Boyles has been starting inside as a 6'7 forward getting 7.7 PPG. The Raptors rank 19th in offensive efficiency and 12th in defensive efficiency according to dunksandthrees.com. Toronto ranks 20th in the league in possessions per game.

Magic Snap Four Game Skid
The Orlando Magic are in the thick of the Eastern Conference standings, and are looking to get the best possible playoff seed for their young roster. Losing four straight games did not help, including losses against Eastern Conference foes including Cleveland and Charlotte. Orlando was able to snap out of their losing ways with their recent win over Miami, as they were led by Paolo Banchero with 31 points and 12 rebounds in the victory.
Banchero is their 23-year old forward who is already a star in the league, but the front office hopes he can turn into a superstar that can carry the team deep into the postseason. He leads the team with 21.9 PPG, 8.8 RPG and 4.9 APG, and has scored 27 or more in each of his last three games. Franz Wagner will miss this game with an ankle injury, he is productive when he is on the floor with his 22.2 PPG, but struggles to stay healthy enough to play. Desmond Bane is a strong shooting guard, he is scoring 19.0 PPG in his first season with Orlando, and also dishes out 4.4 APG.
Jalen Suggs is healthy again, and runs the point with his 14.4 PPG and 4.7 APG. Anthony Black is a 22-year old guard with size, he continues to improve and is delivering a 15.8 PPG and 4.1 APG stat line. Orlando ranks 21st in offensive efficiency and 13th in defensive efficiency. The Magic play at a similar pace as the Raptors, ranking 17th in the league in pace of play.

Raptors vs. Magic Picks and Predictions
Spread pick for Raptors vs. Magic
- Magic to cover (5 units)
The Orlando Magic have become accustomed to playing without Franz Wagner, as their forward has been in and out of the lineup over the past two seasons. The rest of the Magic roster is healthy, which will be vital here against this Raptors team that lacks size on the inside. Toronto starts Murray-Boyles as an undersized 6'7 center, and ask Scottie Barnes to run all over the court constantly guarding the best player. This will not work against Orlando, as Banchero is too big and strong for any Toronto defender, and if Poeltl isn't at the rim waiting for him, it will be another big night for Paolo. He has scored over 27 in each of his last three games, and will dominate the paint here in a win.
Take the Magic to cover.
Over/Under Pick for Raptors vs. Magic
- Β Under (4 units)
This is an analytical mismatch, favoring the defenses for both teams. The Magic are at home and 13th in defensive efficiency, while only 21st in offensive efficiency. Similarly, Toronto is 12th of defense and only 19th on offense. This shows that both teams are better on the defensive end, and considering neither plays at a fast pace, it signifies this will be a low scoring game. Orlando and Toronto are both in the bottom half of the league in pace of play, and with Franz Wagner out of this game, you can cash your bet on the under.
Take the under.
