Golden State Heads East
The Golden State Warriors are closing out a three-game road trip against Eastern Conference teams on Sunday, as they went from Philadelphia to Cleveland before landing in Chicago for this game. They took a tight 99-98 loss against the 76ers to start the trip, as Steph Curry was out and Moses Moody was the only starter to hit double figures with his 14 points. Steph will not play in this game, as he is still battling an injury to his quadriceps.
Golden State has been battling injuries, not only is Curry out, but they do not have Al Horford, and both Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green are questionable with lingering injuries. It seems as if the most reliable player for this game will be Jonathan Kuminga, who has had a slow start to his career, but the 23-year old could be likely to explode without the veteran stars in the lineup. Kuminga is getting 12.9 PPG and 6.3 RPG this season. Butler is a tough forward; he is a veteran who could play through injuries. If he does, he will add 19.5 PPG and 5.6 APG. Similarly, Draymond Green could be available here; he adds 8.0 PPG but contributes more with his defensive effort.
Brandin Podziemski will be available in this game. He is scoring 12.3 PPG and grabbing 4.6 RPG. The Warriors are ranked 15th in offensive efficiency and 4th in defensive efficiency according to dunksandthrees.com. Golden State has been playing relatively slowly, ranking 20th in the league in possessions per game.

Bulls Search for a Win
The Chicago Bulls have a day off after this home game, but that might not be enough as the club has lost all of their last six games coming into this one. After a fast start, the Bulls have cooled off, but still have plenty of time to compete in the Eastern Conference for a playoff spot. They are in the midst of a homestand, coming off consecutive losses to the Nets and Pacers. In their last game against Indiana, Coby White led the way with 22 points in the 15-point loss.
White has been a solid point guard for the Bulls after being drafted after a solid college career with North Carolina. He missed all but six games this season with an injury, but is back in the lineup and is averaging 23.8 PPG and 6.2 APG, while knocking down 2.7 threes per game. The Bulls have a lot invested in Josh Giddey, believing he can lead the franchise back to deep postseason runs. So far, Giddey is scoring 20.4 PPG and leads the team with 9.9 RPG and 9.1 RPG, playing a strong floor game. Nikola Vucevic is their veteran big man who continues to put up big numbers with 16.2 PPG and 9.6 RPG on the inside.
The Bulls have two young prospects they hope can continue to improve with Ayo Dosunmu (15.8 PPG) and Matas Buzelis (13.9 PPG). The Bulls are ranked 22nd in offensive efficiency and also 22nd in defensive efficiency. The young Bulls play at a fast pace, ranking 2nd in the league in pace of play.

Warriors vs. Bulls Picks and Predictions
Spread pick for Warriors vs. Bulls
- Bullsย (5 units)
These teams are both hovering around .500, but the Warriors will be without Steph Curry, as the Bulls get Coby White back. This will be a problem for the old Warriors; their defense revolves around Curry, and they also have Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green out. Golden State does not have young stars ready to take over, as nobody expected Kuminga to go for 30 in this game. Chicago is quietly a competitive team in the East, and Giddey is putting up All-Star-worthy numbers, averaging nearly a triple-double. The Bulls have a strong center in Vucevic, and enough perimeter players to cover the number against this banged-up Warriors team.
Taker Chicago to cover.
Over/Under Pick for Warriors vs. Bulls
- ย Under (4 units)
Steph Curry is out of this game, and Jimmy Butler could be out as well. Even if Butler plays, the veteran is no longer pushing the pace offensively and is still used as a smart defender. This is the same role that Draymond Green plays. So Golden State will happily slow this game down without Curry in the lineup. As for Chicago, they are a young team trying to steal wins against strong teams, and will no take many risks here. If the Bulls can keep this game close late, they will gladly play slow. Expect a low scoring game here with Curry off the floor.
Take the under.
