Washington, like many teams, has been tanking to get one of the top picks in the draft. If they don't finish in the bottom four teams in the NBA (they are third to last), they could lose their top-8 protected pick to the New York Knicks. Washington traded for Anthony Davis (injured hand) and Trae Young, but has only played Young in limited minutes thus far. Center Alex Sarr added 16 points and five blocks for the young Wizards. Dvis (finger) is out, while Kyshawn George (elbow) has missed three straight games. Sarr leads the active Wizards with 17.2 points and 7.7 rebounds with 2.0 blocks, while George adds 14.8 points, 4.5 assists and 5.1 rebounds.
Boston gets Tatum back but loses two straight
The Celtics were expected to play the entire season without star wing Jayson Tatum (Achilles), but he returned on March 6 against Dallas, scoring 15 points and grabbing 12 boards. He played in three games, including their 125-116 loss to the Spurs on March 10, but missed their loss to the Thunder on Thursday night. Despite not having Tatum, the Celtics played OKC nearly even, getting 34 points from Jaylor Brown, who played 40 minutes. But Boston shot just 40% from the field, while the Thunder shot 48% from the field, led by 35 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Brown leads the team with 28.4 points and 7.1 rebounds, while shooting 48% from the field. He's kept this team afloat while Tatum has been out. They also added Nikola Vucevic (15.6 ppg, 8.6 rpg) to give them a legitimate center, who can score. Derrick White (17.5 ppg, 5.7 apg), who also missed the Thunder game, gives the team veteran leadership. Peyton Pritchard is an outstanding long-range shooter who averages 16.8 points and 5.3 assists (36% 3pt).
