New York Rangers at Utah Mammoth, Odds, Picks and Prediction for Saturday November 22, 2025
The New York Rangers (10-10-2) hit the road again Saturday night, taking on the Utah Mammoth (10-8-3) in their first head-to-head matchup of the season. The Rangers have been a totally different team away from home, while Utah is trying to stop a brutal slide after dropping four straight, and the Rangers have dropped three straight themselves. Rangers looking to avoid 4th straight loss
The Rangers sit at .500 overall, but the road version of this team is the one you want backing you. New York enters this matchup 9-3-1 away from home, one of the best road marks in the league, and they’ve been money in spots like this. They’re coming off a 6-3 loss to Colorado, but that could be a good sign as they have won six straight games when following a loss of three goals or more, usually tightening things up defensively the next time out.
Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick are the team's goal tenders. Shesterkin owns a 7-8-2 record, 2.53 GAA, and .909 save percentage. Quick is 3-2 with a ridiculous .951 save percentage and 1.42 GAA in limited action.
Offensively, Artemi Panarin continues to leads the way with 19 points on the year (14 assists, 5 goals) and Adam Fox with 18 points (15 assists, 3 goals).
Mammoth struggling
Utah has talent, but right now this team is having serious issues. They’ve lost four straight and seven of their last eight, most recently falling 4-3 to Vegas. At home they’ve been much better (5-2-1), but even that hasn’t held up lately, mostly because the goaltending has struggled to get saves consistently in clutch moments.
The Mammoth allow just 24 shots per game at home, but the problem is what happens after those shots get taken. Karel Vejmelka is 8-5-2 with a 2.93 GAA but only a .883 save percentage, while Vitek Vanecek checks in with a 2-3-1 record, 2.85 GAA and .873 save percentage.
Nick Schmaltz 22 points, 10 goals, 12 assists) and Clayton Keller (7G, 12A ) have been carrying most of the offensive load. Lately, Utah has struggled to get breaks, as three of its last four losses have come in overtime.
New York Rangers vs Utah Mammoth Predictions
Rangers vs Mammoth Moneyline Pick:
-
Rangers +110 (4 units)
I’m on the Rangers here. The goaltending gap is massive, and New York’s road resume speaks for itself. They’ve been elite away from home and usually bounce back strong after tough losses. With both teams on losing streaks, I’ll take the Rangers as the underdog. New York has been more disciplined, performed well on the road, and has superior goaltenders.
Rangers vs Mammoth Total Pick:
-
Under 6 (4 units)
Even though some trends point toward overs in certain situations, the matchup itself leans under. The Rangers will be focused coming off a bad loss, and they have excellent goaltending. New York plays at a low-scoring pace, and their defense usually dictates the style in road games. Utah’s offense has cooled off during this losing streak, scoring two goals or fewer in six of its last seven games. I like the under.
