Arizona Trying To Snap Three-Game Losing Streak

The Cardinals followed up their two-game winning streak to start the season with three tough losses, with a combined margin of five points. In their last game, RB Emari Demercado doped the ball just outside the goal line after attempting to run for a 72-yard touchdown, which turned into a touchback. Head coach Jonathan Gannon was fined $100,000 by the team for punching Demercado after he dropped the ball and apologized to him and the team for the incident.  They will try to shake off their latest loss and get back to .500 with a win on Sunday.

Arizona averages 20.6 points per game, which is 23rd in the league. They throw for 170.2 yards and rush for 118.2 yards per game.

Kyler Murray has completed 68.3 percent of his passes for 962 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also leads the team with 29 carries for 173 yards and one touchdown. He is dealing with a foot injury that might keep him out of this game. He did practice on Friday after missing the previous two days, but his status is still unclear. If Murray can't go, veteran Jacoby Brissett will get the start.

Trey Benson has 29 carries for 160 yards, while Marvin Harrison Jr. leads the team with 20 catches for 306 yards and two touchdowns.

Arizona is giving up 19.2 points per game, which is fourth in the league. They’re giving up 254.2 passing yards and 92.4 rushing yards per game.

Indianapolis Going For Second Consecutive Win

The Colts bounced back from their loss to the Rams with a win over the Raiders in their last game. They are tied with Jacksonville at the top of the AFC South standings, and will try to retake sole possession of first place with a win on Sunday.

Indianapolis averages 32.6 points per game, which is second in the league. They throw for 253 yards and rush for 128.2 yards per game.

Daniel Jones has completed 71.3 percent of his passes for 1,290 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also has 53 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Indianapolis is giving up 17.8 points per game, which is third in the league. They’re giving up 217 passing yards and 98 rushing yards per game. As for injuries, CB Kenny Moore II (Achilles) is out, along with RB Tyler Goodson (groin).

Cardinals vs. Colts Picks

Point Spread Pick for Cardinals vs. Colts

  • Indianapolis Colts -7.5 (4 Units)

The Colts have won four of their five games, while the Cardinals have lost three of their five games. Indianapolis has the edge here because they have one of the best offenses in the league and can beat opponents on the ground and through the air. They are facing an Arizona team that is one of the worst at defending the pass, so expect the Colts to air it out in this game.

Arizona won’t be as successful offensively because it’s struggled so far this season. Their passing game is the second-worst in the league, and they rely heavily on their ground game. The Colts have a good run defense and keep opponents under 100 rushing yards per game. With two of Arizona’s top three rushers likely to miss this game, expect the Colts to keep pressure on their quarterback and force him to make costly mistakes. Take Indianapolis to cover the spread.

Over/Under Pick for Cardinals vs. Colts

  • Under 47 (4 Units)

The Cardinals played under the total in two of their last three games, while the Colts played under the total in three of their last five games. Arizona averages 20.6 points per game. They throw the ball 59 percent of the time with the 31st-ranked passing attack in the league, and they’re playing a team that is 19th against the pass and is giving up 17.8 points per game. The Colts average 32.6 points per game. They throw the ball 52 percent of the time with the fourth-ranked passing attack in the league, and they’re facing a team that is 28th against the pass and is giving up 19.2 points per game. Don’t expect these teams to score enough points to push the score over the total. The Cardinals and Colts played under the total in seven of their last eight meetings.
