The Chicago Bears (2-2, 2-2 ATS, 3-1 O/U) meet the Washington Commanders (3-2, 3-2 ATS, 2-3 O/U) in an NFC clash on Monday evening, and we have you covered with the prediction. The Bears had their bye last week. The Commanders won a road meeting against the Chargers in their previous action. These squads met last season in a game the Commanders won on a Hail Mary pass from Jayden Daniels to Noah Brown, which was inadvertently tipped into his hands by CB Tyrique Stevenson.

Can the Commanders record a third straight win on Monday? Check out the Bears vs. Commanders prediction.  When it comes to football selections, our NFL Predictions are stellar.

Chicago Eyes .500 Mark on Season

The Chicago Bears are attempting to climb above the .500 mark. Chicago had a disastrous start under its expensive head coach, Ben Johnson, dropping their first two games, including a 52-21 loss against Detroit. They have rebounded by defeating the Cowboys, followed by a 25-24 road win against the Raiders last week in a bout that had the Bears marked as 1.5-point dogs. The Bears have covered the spread in two straight games.

Caleb Williams has been sharp, even in the defeats. The 23-year-old QB posted 212 yards in the win against the Raiders. The young star now has 923 passing yards and an 8:2 TD to INT ratio on the season. He has added 110 rushing yards. The running game has been subpar. D’Andre Swift has amassed 50 or more yards in two of four games. The veteran RB has managed 187 rushing yards on the season.

The receiving group has been decent for the most part. Rome Odunze is having an outstanding season. The 23-year-old has brought in 60+ yards in all but one game. He has brought in 296 receiving yards.  DJ Moore is next up with 173 yards. The Chicago offense posted 271 yards against the Raiders. They are averaging 328 yards per game.

The Bears' defense has been shaky and needs work. They squandered 357 total yards in the win last week and are conceding an average of 379 yards per game.  Tremaine Edmund has been a beast, making 40 combined tackles and breaking up three passes. The pass defense is below average at 16th, while the rush defense has been exposed, ranking 30th.

Chicago is averaging 25.3 points on the season, ranking them 11th. The Bears are squandering an average of 29.3 points, pegging them 29th.

Washington Rebounds with Second Win of Season

The Washington Commanders are attempting to climb two games above the .500 mark in this one. Washington is considered a contender in the NFC. They were 2-1 after three games but were hit with a 34-27 road loss by the Falcons two weeks ago. Next, Washington had a tough matchup and was dominant, posting a 27-10 road win against a potent Chargers squad. They were 3-point dogs in that one. The Commanders have covered the spread in three of five games on the season.

Jayden Daniels is back in action after missing two games due to injury. The star QB did not suit up in the defeats against the Raiders and Falcons. Daniels was sharp last week, recording 231 passing yards against a good defense. He has reported 664 passing yards and a 4:0 TD to INT ratio on the season. He has added 124 rushing yards.

The Washington offense is sharing the duties on the ground. Jacory Croskey-Merritt has been a surprise. The 24-year-old rookie was huge in the win last week, amassing 111 yards against a potent defense, and has 172 yards on the season. He is averaging a stunning 6.6 yards per rush. Jeremy McNichols is behind with 112 yards.

Deebo Samuel has been solid with his new team. The veteran WR had his best game of the year last week and has registered 300 receiving yards. Terry McLaurin has missed the last three games wth a quad injury. He was not at practice on Thursday and is questionable. The Washington offense reported 389 total yards last week. They are averaging 349 yards per game on the season.

The Commanders' defense has been inconsistent, but they were on their game last week, conceding only 336 total yards against a tough offense. They are conceding an average of 352 yards per game on the season. Veteran Bobby Wagner is older, but he remains a big threat. The veteran linebacker has made 42 tackles. The pass defense is rated 22nd, while the rush defense has been a strength, coming in at 16th.

Washington is posting an average of 26.8 points on the season, rating them ninth. The Commanders are conceding an average of 20.2 points, placing them ninth.

Bears vs. Commanders Pick

Spread Pick for Bears vs. Commanders

  • Washington Commanders -4.5 (5 units)

The Chicago Bears have won two games in a row, but their defense can’t be trusted against this potent Washington offense. The Commanders are only 3-2, but the record is misleading, considering Daniels has missed two games. Also, it has been a daunting schedule with games against the Packers, Falcons, and Chargers. Washington is 2-1 with Jayden Daniels under center.

Furthermore, Washington has a dynamic rushing offense that is averaging 156 rushing yards per game, ranking #1 in the NFL. This is key against a horrendous Bears rush defense. The Bears are squandering an average of 165 rushing yards per game, pegging them 31st. The Bears' defense has been among the worst in the NFL and has to defend a Washington offense that exposed the Chargers last week. Moreover, the Bears are near the bottom in sacks, meaning Daniels will have time in the pocket. Also, the Commanders are an undefeated 2-0 at home.

Over/Under Pick for Bears vs. Commanders

  • Under 50 (5 units)

I expect more of a defensive showdown. Chicago is decent offensively, but isn’t posting big numbers. They have scored 25 or fewer points in all but one game. The Commanders' defense has momentum after keeping the Chargers to just 10 points.

In addition, the Commanders' defense has been stingy at home, conceding a total of just 30 points in two games. Washington does not have a quick offense, standing 25th in the NFL in plays per game, due in part to a ton of running plays. They will score enough to cover, but won’t post mammoth numbers. The Bears' defense is already showing improvement after struggling in the first two games.  The under is a convincing 5-1 in the Commanders’ previous six games in week six.
