Indianapolis averages 32.3 points per game, which leads the league. They throw for 245 yards and rush for 131.8 yards per game.

Daniel Jones has completed 72 percent of his passes for 1,502 yards, eight touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also has 76 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Jonathan Taylor leads the team with 115 carries for 603 yards and seven touchdowns, while Tyler Warren leads the team with 29 catches for 370 yards and two touchdowns.

Indianapolis is giving up 19.3 points per game, which is fourth in the league. They’re giving up 232.8 passing yards and 96.3 rushing yards per game. They are also generating a ton of pressure up front as they rank seventh in the NFL with 16 sacks through six games. A concern is in the secondary, where they allowed 320 yards passing last week against backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett.

The hope is that cornerback Kenny Moore II (Achilles) returns this week. He's listed as questionable for this game after practicing some this week, but missed Friday. CB Charvarius Ward Sr. is out with a concussion. They will also be without WRs Josh Downs (concussion) and Ashton Dulin (chest).

Los Angeles Going For Second Consecutive Win

The Chargers snapped their two-game losing streak with a win over the Dolphins in their last game. They are tied with Denver at the top of the AFC West, and will try to take sole possession of first place with a win on Sunday.

Los Angeles averages 21.2 points per game, which is 23rd in the league. They throw for 240 yards and rush for 120.7 yards per game.

Justin Herbert has completed 68 percent of his passes for 1,493 yards, 10 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Los Angeles is giving up 20.8 points per game, which is 12th in the league. They’re giving up 177.5 passing yards and 124.2 rushing yards per game.

On the injury front, LT Joe Alt (ankle) did practice in a limited fashion on Thursday and is listed as questionable along with C Bradley Bozeman and G Trey Pipkins III (knee). OLB Khalil Mack (elbow) could return after coming off the IR.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Los Angeles Chargers Picks

Point Spread Pick for Colts vs. Chargers

  • Indianapolis Colts +1 (4 Units)

The Colts have won five of their six games, while the Chargers have won four of their six games. Indianapolis has the edge here because they have one of the best offenses in the league and can hurt opponents through the air or on the ground. The Chargers have played well against the pass, but their run defense is one of the worst in the league, and they’re facing the league’s leading rusher, so expect them to have a hard time slowing down the Colts.

Los Angeles will have a hard time keeping up in this game because they will be without two of their best running backs, with Hampton and Najee Harris on the IR, limiting their ability to run the ball effectively. This will force the team to throw the ball more than they usually do, and it will also allow the Colts to keep pressure on Herbert and force him to make costly mistakes, so expect them to keep Los Angeles’ offense in check. Take Indianapolis to cover the spread.

Over/Under Pick for Colts vs. Chargers

  • Under 48 (4 Units)

The Colts played under the total in two of their last three games, while the Chargers played under the total in four of their last five games. Indianapolis averages 32.3 points per game. They have the sixth-best ground game in the league, and they’re facing a team that is 21st against the run and is giving up 20.8 points per game. The Chargers average 21.2 points per game. They throw the ball 62 percent of the time with the ninth-best passing attack in the league, and they’re facing a team that is 22nd against the pass, and is giving up 19.3 points per game. Don’t expect these teams to score enough points to push the score over the total. The Chargers and Colts played under the total in three of their last four meetings.
