Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans Picks and Prediction for Sunday, September 21, 2025
Use Code WWWC Indianapolis and Tennessee are no strangers to tight AFC South battles. Last season, the Colts swept the Titans but both games were competitive. In October, Indianapolis edged out a 20-17 road win in Nashville, then closed December with a 38-30 victory at home.
Heading into Week 3 of this season, Indianapolis sits at 2-0 behind Daniel Jones’ revival, and Tennessee has stumbled out of the gate at 0-2, struggling with rookie quarterback Cam Ward under second-year coach Brian Callahan.

Are the Colts for real?
Few storylines around the league are more surprising than the resurgence of Daniel Jones in Indianapolis. After a disappointing end with the New York Giants, Jones has looked like a new man through two games. His poise in the pocket and improved decision-making have complemented a balanced offense that currently leads the NFL in total yards at 445.5 per game, and fourth with 31 ppg. Jones has also thrown for 588 yards and is fifth in the NFL with an 80.7 QBR. while Jonathan Taylor powers the ground game with 236 rushing yards, averaging 5.5 yards per carry.

The Colts’ offensive explosion has also highlighted an aggressive approach from head coach Shane Steichen. They lit up Miami for 33 points in the opener and followed by clawing back to edge Denver in a 29-28 shootout last Sunday. Indianapolis has also been efficient on third down, converting at a 46.4% rate, seventh-best in the league. While they still need sharper execution in the red zone, where they rank just 26th, this is a unit capable of sustaining drives and striking for quick-hitting plays.
Defensively, Indianapolis has allowed just 18.0 points per game and already ranks fifth in yards allowed, showing enough balance to complement their explosive offense.
In terms of injuries, rookie TE Warren (toe) and Charvarius Ward Jr. (concussion) are questionable. NT T'Vondre Sweat (ankle) is out and S Kevin Winston Jr. (hamstring) is doubtful.
Can the Titans finally cover at home?
For Tennessee, the story has been the learning curve of rookie quarterback Cam Ward. The No.1 overall pick has thrown for 287 yards thus far, but is 32nd with a 20.6 QBR. Overall, Tennessee’s offense sits last in the NFL in total yards (192.5 per game) and 30th in scoring at just 15.5 points per contest. On the ground, running back Tony Pollard leads the team with 152 rushing yards. Last week, he rushed for 92 yards in their loss to the Rams. The Tians have struggled on third down, where they rank 31st, converting only 27.6% of attempts.
Second-year head coach Brian Callahan went 3-14 first season, and he’s now 0-2. after losing the opener 20-12 at Denver, and 33-19 at home to the Rams last week. The defense has allowed 26.5 points, ranking 23rd in the NFL and 27th with 378 yards per game allowed.
In terms of injuries, RT JC Latham is out with a hip injury and RG Kevin Zeitler is questionable.
Colts vs Titans Prediction
ATS Pick
- Colts -4 (5 units)
Although laying more than four points in a divisional road matchup can feel risky, the numbers, eye test and history, point me towards Indianapolis.
The Colts have scored 62 points in two games, torching both Miami and Denver with a balanced offense ranking fourth in scoring and second in yards per play.
As for Tennessee, they have have failed to reach 20 points in either game and simply cannot sustain drives with their league-worst yardage output. The Titans are also 0-9 against the spread at home under Brian Callahan, and their 31st-ranked third down offense contrasts sharply against a Colts unit ranked seventh in the same category.
Take the Colts
Total Pick
- Over 43.5
Since I like the Colts to win by at least five, the over lines up well. Indianapolis is putting up 31 points per game, and both of their last two matchups leaned heavily toward shootouts. Tennessee just played a 52-point game against the Rams, exposing how vulnerable their defense is to high-volume scoring.
Daniel Jones has fit right in, and with Jonathan Taylor running hard, the Colts should keep the pressure on. That pace will force the Titans to open up their playoff playbook. Even if Tennessee isn’t naturally explosive, being pushed into catch-up mode should help drive this game past the number.
