βI think it just shows the growth we've had as a team,β Mahomes said. βEven though we didn't start the way we wanted to on offense, it showed we can battle through adversity and play the brand of football we want to play.β
The two-time NFL MVP Mahomes leads the Chiefs into action with 2,099 passing yards, 280 rushing yards, and 21 total touchdowns. He has completed 67.0 percent of his passes, averaging 7.4 yards per attempt. Kelce is the team's leading receiver (37 receptions for 474 yards and three TDs), and RB Isiah Pacheco (78 carries for 329 yards and one TD) paces the KC run game.

Kansas City Chiefs Injury Report:Β Pacheco (knee) is out. OT Jaylon Moore (illness) and OG Trey Smith (back) have questionable tags, but are expected to start on Sunday against the Bills.
Bills are 5-1 in their last six regular-season games vs KC
Buffalo (5-2 SU, 3-4 ATS, and 4-3 O/U) beat Carolina 40-9 last weekend, covering as 7.5-point spread favorites.
The Bills dominated the Panthers, outgaining them 410-244. Buffalo was unstoppable on the ground, averaging 7.0 yards per carry, as James Cook rushed for 216 yards and two scores. QB Josh Allen, who had three total touchdowns, is 8-0 after a bye week. Buffalo's defense was also fearsome, sacking Carolina QB Andy Dalton seven times and forcing three turnovers. It was a significant showing by the Bills, who lost their previous two games against New England and Atlanta.
βI think it's the way that our guys handle (the bye),β Allen said. βJust making sure that we're practicing the right way. Coming off two losses, it's been lingering with us, so we wanted to come out and put our best foot forward β and we did that.β
The reigning NFL MVP Allen, has completed 68.0 percent of his passes this season, averaging 7.9 yards per attempt. He has 1,560 passing yards, 261 rushing yards, and 17 total touchdowns. Chiefs vs. Bills Pick and Preview
Spread Pick for Chiefs vs. Bills
- Kansas City -1.5 (5 Units)
Mahomes' magic will be on full display, escaping pressure to find open receivers and pick up yards with his legs. He has done an excellent job scrambling to make plays outside the pocket this season, leading the NFL with 51 total first downs out of the pocket, 18 more than any other QB. He's averaging 84 passing yards per game outside the pocket and has 18 rushing first downs, the latter of which has helped make up for an ineffective Chiefs run game. His Houdini-esque escapability will be impactful against a Buffalo defensive line that ranks second in QB pressure rate. Mahomes also boasts a better group of receiving threats than Allen, as Rice's return to the field has really put KC over the top. Outside of Shakir, Buffalo doesn't have much depth, which has forced Allen into the shortest average pass length in the NFL.
The Kansas City defense is better at all three levels, which will be clear in Sunday's game. Both teams have talented defensive lines and linebacking groups, but Buffalo's stars Oliver and Thompson are sidelined. I also lean towards the Chiefs' side when evaluating secondary play.
KC has more momentum and enough advantages on both sides of the ball to win and cover on the road.
Over/Under Pick for Chiefs vs. Bills
- Over 52.5 (4 Units)
The over has cashed in the last three games between these teams, and with the weather expected to be pleasant, I lean towards a high-scoring contest. The Bills are coming off a 40-point performance, and the Chiefs averaged 30.8 points in their last five games. Buffalo's run game was explosive last week, and I expect Cook to continue to run wild behind an elite offensive line. Kansas City's passing game will be the catalyst for its success on Sunday, with Mahomes spreading the football around to his excellent group of pass-catchers.
While the regular-season matchups between these teams have been lower-scoring, I anticipate this clash to be more like the high-scoring postseason contests (four straight games with more than 50 total points).
