Los Angeles Chargers vs Los Angeles Rams Picks and Predictions for Sunday, November 1, 2026
The Chargers have had a week off to work out what went wrong during their 0-6 start. Their last game was a 22-6 defeat to Kansas City, leaving them at the bottom of the AFC West. The Rams, meanwhile, beat Las Vegas 35-21 last Sunday and sit third in the NFC West with a 3-4 record. Neither club has enjoyed much success at SoFi Stadium this year. They'll share the field in Inglewood on Sunday at 4:05 pm ET on Fox. The Rams are 6.5-point favorites, and the total is 45.5. Find more winners with our free NFL picks.
Los Angeles Chargers Hoping the Bye Week Helps
Six games, six losses. The Chargers haven't found a way out of their early-season trouble, and the defeat at Kansas City was especially difficult to watch. Justin Herbert and the offense managed only six points. A week earlier, Denver had won 23-17, while Seattle beat the Chargers 30-23 on October 4. Even when the offense has put together a decent afternoon, something has gone wrong elsewhere. Los Angeles has allowed 151 points and scored only 90.
Herbert hasn't had much time to throw. Opponents have sacked him 21 times, and he's been intercepted eight times. The Chargers could also be missing two of their main receivers, with Tre' Harris and Ladd McConkey both questionable. Harris has 225 receiving yards, slightly ahead of McConkey's 200. Omarion Hampton has handled most of the carries, gaining 289 yards. He'll need more room against a Rams defense that knows Herbert has been taking too many hits.
Injuries: Denzel Perryman is out. Brenen Thompson, Donte Jackson, Tre' Harris and Ladd McConkey are questionable.

Los Angeles Rams Trying to Fix Their Home Record
The Rams had a better afternoon in Las Vegas last Sunday, winning 35-21 after two disappointing home games. Arizona had escaped SoFi Stadium with an 18-16 victory, and Buffalo won 37-34 in overtime the week before. Los Angeles also beat Philadelphia on the road earlier in October. The Rams have scored well enough to win several games, but a 1-3 home record shows that hasn't always been enough. They'll get another chance in familiar surroundings Sunday.
Matthew Stafford has completed 187 passes for 1,989 yards, with 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Puka Nacua has caught 45 passes for 485 yards, while Davante Adams is only five yards behind him and has four touchdown catches. Kyren Williams is averaging 5.1 yards per carry, giving Stafford some help on the ground. Byron Young has 4.5 sacks, and he'll be worth watching against a Chargers offensive line that has struggled to keep Herbert upright.
Injuries: Colby Parkinson, Nate Landman, Trent McDuffie, Coleman Shelton and Joe Cardona are questionable.
Key To The Game
Herbert's protection could decide how competitive this becomes. The Chargers have allowed 21 sacks, and the Rams have several defenders capable of applying pressure. Los Angeles also needs Hampton to establish the run so Herbert isn't forced into difficult passing situations. Stafford faces a Chargers defense that has allowed 151 points, with Nacua and Adams offering different receiving threats. The Chargers have intercepted five passes this season, so Stafford cannot afford careless throws. The Rams have the stronger offense, but turnovers could keep their stadium rivals involved.
Los Angeles Chargers vs Los Angeles Rams Game Pick
- Los Angeles Rams -6.5 (-118)
The Rams should have enough offense to separate themselves from the Chargers. Stafford has been productive, and Nacua, Adams and Williams give him several reliable options. The Chargers have struggled to protect Herbert and haven't scored more than 23 points all season. Their latest performance against Kansas City was particularly concerning. The Rams haven't been dependable at home, but Sunday's opponent presents a favorable matchup for their pass rush. I expect Stafford to find scoring opportunities while the Chargers continue to struggle offensively. I'm taking the Rams to cover.
Los Angeles Chargers vs Los Angeles Rams Over/Under Pick
- Under 45.5 (-115)
The Chargers are averaging just 15 points per game, and their last two contests produced 28 and 40 combined points. Herbert has struggled with interceptions and sacks, making sustained drives difficult. The Rams have more scoring options, but they were held to 16 against Arizona before their latest victory. Los Angeles should be able to move the ball through Stafford and Williams without needing a particularly high total. If the Chargers continue having trouble finishing drives, reaching 46 combined points could be difficult. Under 45.5 is my pick.
