Patriots Extend Winning Streak in Road Win

The New England Patriots are seeking their fifth win of the season. New England was 1-2 after three games and has not lost a game since. The Patriots beat the Panthers to conclude September and earned a stunning road win against the Bills to begin October. Next, they posted a 25-19 win against the Saints in a meeting that had the Pats marked as 3.5-point favourites. The Patriots are standing atop the AFC East with the Bills. They have covered the spread in three straight games.

Drake Maye is enjoying a breakout season. The 23-year-old QB has been incredibly efficient in each game. He has connected on 73% of his pass attempts. Maye has posted 230 or more yards in five of six games and has posted 15222 passing yards and a 10:2 TD to INT ratio. The offense shares the duties on the ground with Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson. Stevenson is the veteran and has been kept in check, managing 157 rushing yards on an average of only 3.1 yards per rush. Henderson is a rookie out of Ohio State. He has rushed for less than 32 yards in each game and has managed 148 rushing yards.

Stefon Diggs is in a groove. He has surpassed 100 yards in two of his past three games. The star WR brought in 146 yards in the win against the Bills and has recorded 387 receiving yards. He has a chest injury and is questionable. Tight end Hunter Henry has 277 yards receiving on the season. The New England offense reported 333 yards last week. They are averaging 336 yards per game.

The Patriots' defense has been outstanding in the recent wins, conceding 20 or fewer points in three consecutive games. The defense kept the Saints to 296 yards last week. They are keeping opponents to an average of 322 yards per game. Robert Spillane has been a beast, making 51 tackles. CB Marcus Jones has broken up six passes. The pass defense can be solved, ranking 25th, while the rush defense is rated fifth.

New England is averaging 25 points on the season, ranking them 11th. The Patriots are conceding an average of 20 points, positioning them ninth.

Titans Hit with Fifth Defeat of Season, Fire the Callahans

The Tennessee Titans are eying just their second win of the year. Tennessee is in a rebuilding season, and so far, the season has gone as expected. They rank near the bottom of the NFL in most offensive categories, while the defense is a bit better. The Titans were dominated 26-0 by the Texans at the end of September and rebounded with a 22-21 road win against Arizona in their only win a few weeks ago. The offense struggled in a 20-10 road loss against the Raiders last week. After the game, the Titans fired head coach Brian Callahan, and shortly thereafter, his father, Bill, the offensive line coach, was let go. Enter Mike McCoy, who was elevated from senior offensive assistant to interim head coach. McCoy was the head coach of the San Diego Chargers from 2013-16 and has spent six seasons as an offensive coordinator in the NFL.

Cam Ward is taking some time to adjust to the NFL. The 2025 #1 pick has only converted on 55% of his passes. Ward posted 265 yards in the win against the Cardinals and has recorded 1101 passing yards and a 3:4 TD to INT ratio. Tony Pollard has been steady. The veteran running back has reached 60 yards in all but two games and leads the squad with 362 rushing yards on the season.

The offense only has two receivers with more than 200 yards. Calvin Ridley did not play in the defeat last week due to a hamstring injury. He did not practice this week and is questionable. The 30-year-old has 290 receiving yards. Chin Okonkwo has been decent, netting 218 yards. The Tennessee offense only posted 225 yards last week. They are averaging 232 yards per game.

The Titans' defense is below average, but it has come through with some gems. They held Denver to 20 points back in the opener. They had their best game of hate season last week, keeping the Raiders to just 226 total yards. The defense is conceding an average of 343 yards per game. Linebacker Cedric Gray has made 60 tackles.  The pass defense is marked 12th, while the rush defense has been a weakness, coming in at 25th.

Tennessee is scoring an average of only 13.8 points, marking them 31st. The Titans are squandering an average of 26.8 points, pegging them 26th.

Patriots vs. Titans Pick

Spread Pick for Patriots vs. Titans

  • New England Patriots -7.5 (5 units)

The New England Patriots continue to prove they are a team ready to contend in the AFC. The Patriots have won three consecutive games, including a road win against the Bills. They have yet to drop a game on the road, where they stand at 3-0. The Tennessee Titans are one of the worst teams in the NFL, and the numbers prove it. They have just one win on the season.

Furthermore, no one has been able to contain Drake Maye. He has connected on 73% of his passes this season. The Titans' defense is their strength, but it's below average. They have surrendered 33 and 41 points in their two home games. Also, the Patriots' defense has been stingy. They have kept their opponent to 21 or fewer points in five of six games. This is key against a poor offense. Rookie QB Cam Ward is struggling, and they are only averaging 150 passing yards per game. The rushing offense is ranked 31st.

Over/Under Pick for Patriots vs. Titans

  • Over 42 (5 units)

I expect this one to go over. The New England offense is netting strong numbers in each game. They have reached 25 points in two of three road games and will pass more than run, which can result in quick drives.

In addition, the Patriots' pass defense has been shaky at times. They are conceding an average of 239 passing yards per game, pegging them at 25th. This is key as Cam Ward attempts more than 30 passes per game, and I expect a breakout game. This total is only at 42 points, one of the lowest on the entire board. The Titans are going to contribute to this total. They have scored 19 and 20 points in their past two home games.
