Los Angeles Trying to Keep Pace in NFC West Race
Los Angeles is rested coming off the bye following their demolition of the Jaguars in London two weeks ago. The Rams improved to 5-2 on the season and are tied with the Seahawks for the top spot in the NFC West. Against Jacksonville, Los Angeles jumped in front 14-0 after the opening quarter and controlled the game from there. The Rams were up 21-0 at the half and didn’t let the Jaguars closer than that the rest of the way. The Rams were outgained 358-271 in total offense, picked up 26 first downs while allowing 21 and owned a 31:46 to 28:14 edge in time of possession. Neither team committed a turnover in the contest.
The Rams are 3rd in the league in passing offense with an average of 256.7 yards per game through the air and 22nd in rushing offense with an average of 103.4 yards per game. Los Angeles is 12th in the league in scoring offense with an average of 25 points per contest, while they are 3rd in scoring defense by allowing an average of 16.7 points per game. Matthew Stafford has hit 160 of 242 passes for 1,866 yards with 17 touchdowns against two interceptions. He has been sacked 11 times on this season. Los Angeles is rested and relatively healthy, especially after seeing Nacua return to practice in a full capacity on Thursday. The Rams are solid offensively and they have been stingy defensively.
