The Seattle Seahawks (7-3) head to Nashville on Sunday to take on the struggling Tennessee Titans (1-9) in a Week 12 NFC West vs AFC South Seahawks vs. Titans prediction. These teams last met in 2023 when the Seahawks escaped with a 20-17 win on the road. This time around, the oddsmakers are not expecting things to be as tight with Seattle posted as a 13.5-point favorite.

Seattle looks like a contender

I doubted Seattle early, but they’ve flipped the script and now look like a legit Super Bowl contender. The Seahawks had a four-game winning streak snapped last weekend with a 21-19 road loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Despite the loss, there's plenty for Seattle fans to be excited about, and they are near the top of the league in most offensive categories. They’re third in scoring at 29.4 points per game and rank sixth in total offense with 365.8 yards per game. Sam Darnold has settled in nicely since coming over from the Vikings, leading the way with 2,541 passing yards and ranking fourth in the NFL with a 71.3 QBR. Kenneth Walker III leads the ground attack with 606 rushing yards, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba has also set a career high with 1,146 receiving yards to go along with five touchdowns.

Seattle’s defense has also held its own, ranking ninth in total defense and sixth in scoring defense. They allow just 19.3 points per game and sit sixth against the run.

Injuries to watch for Seattle include LB Ernest Jones IV (knee), WR Tory Horton (shin), LB Tyrice Knight (concussion), FB Robbie Ouzts (elbow), and OL Grey Zabel (knee), all listed as questionable.

Same story for Tennessee

It’s been another brutal season for the Titans. They sit at 1-9, with their only win coming in that wild 22-21 comeback against the Cardinals. Since then, they’ve dropped five straight. Last week, they lost 16-13 to the Texans but did manage to cover the number. Competing and covering was a rare positive for a team that is now 6-21 ATS in its last 27 games.

The Titans' offense is one of the worst in the NFL. Tennessee ranks dead last in total yards (242.5), rushing (78.9), and scoring (14.3 points per game). Rookie quarterback Cam Ward has had an up-and-down season, posting 1,954 passing yards, six touchdowns, six interceptions, and a 28.4 QBR (33rd) through ten starts. Ward has shown flashed potential, but the supporting cast hasn’t helped him much.

Defensively, the Titans aren’t much better. They give up 352.5 yards per game and allow 27.3 points per game, ranking 30th in scoring defense.

Injuries include Jeffery Simmons (hamstring), Chig Okonkwo (foot), Corey Levin (neck), Darrell Baker Jr. (knee), and Kevin Zeitler (back) who are all questionable as of Friday.

Seattle is simply on another level right now, and I don’t see Tennessee being able to keep up. The Titans are still losing games the same way they have for two seasons, and their 6-21 ATS run speaks for itself. Even when they hang around like they did last week, it comes down to the offense not being able to score enough.

Seattle’s defense should smother the Titans’ running game, and once Cam Ward is forced to throw in obvious passing situations, this could get ugly.

Titans have been playing better, but this Seattle team is on a warpath and will not overlook this game after losing to the Rams last Sunday.. I’m backing Seattle to win comfortably.

Seattle has scored 27 or more points in three of its last five games, and their offense is playing with confidence. The Titans have allowed at least 27 points in three of their last four games, and even though their offense isn’t reliable, the Seahawks can carry most of this total themselves.

If Tennessee chips in a couple scoring drives or even a late touchdown when the game is already decided, this number should get there.
