Tennessee Needs a Win
The Tennessee Titans are off to a nightmarish start to their 2025 season, as they opened the year 0-4. They opened the season with losses against the Broncos and Rams, then dropped two divisional games against the Titans and Texans. The Titans had the number one pick in the draft in the offseason, but have not been able to turn their slew of draft picks into a winning combination just yet. In their last game against the Texans, rookie quarterback Cam Ward struggled going just 10-26 passing for 108 yards in the air in the loss.
Ward was the number one pick in the draft coming into this season, so the Titans are unlikely to bail on their young investment due to a tough four game start. There is also not much to turn to behind him, as Will Levis is on the IR and Brandon Allen is their only backup. Ward has 614 yards through their first four games with a 2-2 TD-INT ratio, but just a 51.2% completion rate. Ward is mobile, but has not looked to run much as he only has 42 yards on the ground so far. Tony Pollard has taken over the top spot in the backfield, the veteran back has 261 yards on the ground to lead the team with one rushing touchdown.
Elic Ayomanor has been their top wideout as a rookie, the 22-year old out of Stanford has the most receiving yards on the season with 151 on 12 grabs with two touchdowns in his first four games of his career. Calvin Ridley is their big name receiver, but is listed as questionable here with knee and elbow injuries. Their defense has four sacks on the season, led by defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons with two. Their defense has three interceptions from three different players.

Cardinals Drop Back-to-Back Games
The Arizona Cardinals started the season with two wins, but quickly lost all their momentum and dropped the next two games. The competition was light in their first weeks, taking down the Saints and the Panthers, who figure to be two of the worst teams in the NFC this season. After those two, the Cardinals dropped important divisional games against the 49ers and Seahawks, losing by a combined four points. They are coming off a long break, as they played last Thursday in their loss against Seattle.
The Cardinals opened slowly on Thursday, scoring only three points in the first half, and entered the fourth quarter with just six points before scoring two touchdowns in desperation. Kyler Murray is still their quarterback, but is no longer a young prospect and will now be expected to deliver a playoff run. Murray has 742 passing yards with a 6-3 TD-INT ratio, while rushing for 148 yards on the ground. Trey Benson was their top running back, but he is on the IR with a knee injury. James Connor is also on the IR, leaving Emari Demercado as the top back on their depth chart.
Marvin Harrison Jr. is still trying to battle off his drops, as the young receiver has not lived up to the hype he received when coming out of Ohio State. He still has 16 grabs for 208 yards and two touchdowns on the year. The defense has eight sacks on the season, with veteran Calais Campbell leading the way with three, while the defense has two interceptions through four games.

Out: RB Trey Benson, RB James Connor, DT Bilal Nichols
Questionable: CB Denzel Burke, CB Will Johnson, WR Greg Dortch

Spread pick and prediction for Titans vs. Cardinals
- Titans +7.5 (5 units)
This is the game to back the Titans. Cam Ward has not played well so far, but he is going up against a Cardinals secondary that has two of their top cornerbacks on the injury report. Arizona's defense is down important parts, but their offense is in even worse shape. Benson and Connor are out of the backfield, leaving their top running back as Demercado, who has just eight yards on the season. Dortch is also on the injury report, which doesn't sound like much, but he was a key part of their offense last week in Thursday Night Football. The Titans are in desperation mode and will keep this one within a touchdown to win the bet.
Take the Titans with the points.
Over/Under Pick for Titans vs. Cardinals
- Under 41.5 (4 units)
The Titans scored a whopping zero points last week, and Cam Ward has barely been completing over half of his passes. Ward is not going to get pulled; the Titans have too much invested in him to pull him out of the game, so even if the offense is struggling, Ward will stay on the field. The Cardinals have their quarterback, but the offense is crumbling around him. Harrison Jr. has looked like a borderline bust, and their backfield is falling apart due to injury. Both teams are in desperate need of a win, which will result in conservative play in this low-scoring battle.
Take the under.
