Boston looks to bounce back on both ends.
The Bruins were a mess across the board last season, with their offense letting them down and scoring only 2.71 goals per game. David Pastrnak scored 43 goals and 63 assist,s while Morgan Geekie and Pavel Zacha have added 47 goals and 57 assists but the rest of the offense struggled. The hope is center Elias Lindholm bounces back as the Bruins signed him last offseason and he only scored 17 goals and 30 assists, a big disappointment for the top-line center.
The offense struggled but the defense was also a mess, allowing 3.30 goals per game. Charlie McAvoy led the top pair but the rest of the unit struggled, and the hope is that a healthy Hampus Lindholm and a bounce back from Nikita Zadorov keep the unit intact. Moreover, Jeremy Swayman must bounce back in the net after having a .892 save percentage and a 3.11 goals-against average on 1632 shots with -12.6 goals saved above average.

Capitals look to remain great across the board
The Capitals look to replicate their success from last season with their offense leading the way and scoring 3.49 goals per game. Dylan Strome and Alexander Ovechkin led the top line with 73 goals and 82 assists but the rest of the offense was great as well.
