The Sabres head into Detroit struggling, with losses in five straight and nine of their last 10. On Thursday, Buffalo fell 6-3 to the Colorado Avalanche.
Buffalo’s issues are extensive. The Sabres rank 29th in both goals scored and goals allowed per game, 31st in shots allowed, and 30th in shooting percentage. No wins can be taken for granted for the Detroit Red Wings who are a historic franchise with 11 Stanley Cup titles, but they are now in the midst of a nine-year postseason drought, tied for the third-longest in NHL history.

The Red Wings have won nine of their last 11 games when playing on one day of rest, and they are going up against a Sabres team that is winless on the road so far, Detroit is the only side I can take. I think this is a good spot for a half moneyline, half puckline play with the Red Wings.
