Hurricanes vs. Sabres Pick

Hurricanes vs. Sabres Puckline Pick

  • Hurricanes -1.5 (+143) (4 units)

Carolina has the top spot in the Metropolitan Division standings and they are a high-octane offensive unit. The Hurricanes have been a stellar road team this season, posting an 8-3-1 mark on the year. Buffalo has won three of their last four games but the fact remains that the Sabres still have issues, especially in their own end of the ice. They have been better at home (7-4-2) than on the road (1-5-2) this season but they are still trying to solidify their goaltending situation. Carolina has their three-headed monster between the pipes in Kochetkov, Frederik Andersen and Bussi. Look for the Hurricanes to take advantage of Buffalo’s defensive issues to pick up a win here.

Hurricanes vs. Sabres Over/Under Pick

  • Over 6.5 (4 units)

Carolina has seen the over post a 13-8 mark in their 21 games so far this season. The Hurricanes have an average of 6.48 goals per game this season and that number slides to 5.67 goals per game on the road in their 12 games away from home. Buffalo entered Saturday having seen the over post a 12-7-2 mark in their 21 games this season. The Sabres have an average total of 6.67 goals per game and that number slips to 6.31 goals per game at home in their 13 games at the Keybank Center. We’ve seen the over post a 5-4-1 mark in the last 10 meetings and with the Hurricanes’ offensive firepower, look for this game to wind up over the number.
