Stars vs. Lightning Pick
Stars vs. Lightning Moneyline Pick
- Stars +118 (4 units)
Both teams come in on three-game win streaks so something has to give here. Tampa Bay hasn’t been sharp offensively for a team still anchored by skilled forwards led by Kucherov and Point. It’s been a grind for the Lightning to find the back of the net and one good offensive performance doesn’t mean that they’re back to what we’ve seen in recent years. Dallas just handcuffed Washington Tuesday night and has allowed a total of seven goals in their last four games. Expecting a big showing from the Bolts here might be overestimating them. Expect a tight-checking game and Dallas does enough to skate away with a road win behind Oettinger.
Stars vs. Lightning Over/Under Pick
- Under 6.5 (-130)
Dallas has seen the under post a 6-4 mark in their 10 games on the season. The Stars have posted an average total of 5.80 goals per game on the season and that number climbs slightly to 6.50 goals per game on the road this season. Tampa Bay has split their 10 games this season in relation to the total entering Wednesday night. The Lightning have seen an average of 5.90 goals per game this season and that number bumps to 6.40 goals per game at home. We’ve seen the under post a 3-1-1 mark in their last five meetings and with both teams struggling to dent the twine, take the under in this contest.
