Oilers vs Blue Jackets Pick

Money Line Pick For Oilers vs Blue Jackets

  • Oilers (-130) (4 units)

The Oilers have found their footing lately and look to sweep the mini-series with a strong performance on the road. The Oilers should pile on the goals against the Blue Jackets, who allow 3.19 goals per game, with Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and the rest of the forward unit controlling the puck in the offensive zone while creating open shots with quick passes. The Oilers should limit the Blue Jackets' offense with Ty Emberson, Jake Walman, and the rest of the defensive unit creating turnovers in the defensive zone while limiting shots on the net, allowing goaltender Calvin Pickard to make plenty of big saves. The Oilers should win the game with a strong performance on the road.

Take the Oilers money line as road Favorites.

Over/Under Pick For Oilers vs Blue Jackets

  • Over 6 (5 Units)

Both teams have awful defenses, and after a 5-4 overtime game a few days back, this game looks to be a high-scoring one from the opening puck drop. The Blue Jackets, who average 3.00 goals per game, should pile on the goals against the Oilers, who allow 3.47 goals per game, with Kirill Marchenko, Boone Jenner, and the rest of the forward unit carrying the puck into the offensive zone while creating open shots with quick passes. The Oilers, who average 3.06 goals per game, should run up the score against the Blue Jackets, who have allowed 15 goals in their last four games, with Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and the rest of the forward unit establishing a strong offensive zone presence and creating open shots with effective puck movement as Evan Bouchard and Mattias Ekholm pick apart the Blue Jackets defense from the point. The Over should cover in a high-scoring game with both offenses stepping up.

Take the Over on 6 goals.

The Oilers face the Blue Jackets just three days after a thrilling 5-4 overtime game between the two teams.
