Edmonton Oilers vs. St. Louis Blues Picks and Prediction for Monday, November 3, 2025
Use Code WWWC Edmonton Oilers (6-4-3) vs. St. Louis Blues (3-7-2)
The Edmonton Oilers head to Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO, on Monday night to face off against the St. Louis Blues in the Western Conference showdown, with the puck drop at 8:30 PM ET, so here’s our Oilers vs. Blues prediction.
Edmonton and St. Louis start their three-game regular-season series. Last season, the Oilers swept their three-game set against the Blues, and St. Louis has only won one of its previous five encounters with Edmonton.
Let’s take a closer look at this Oilers vs. Blues prediction, one of our NHL picks for Monday’s slate. The Oilers open as -150 moneyline favorites with a total of 6.0 goals.
The Oilers need to improve on both sides of the puck
The Edmonton Oilers have dropped three of their last five games overall and are 2-0-1 in their previous three outings. They just finished a three-game homestand with a 3-2 overtime victory against the Chicago Blackhawks. The Oilers bounced back from a 4-3 loss to the New York Rangers, in which they blew a 3-1 lead.

Edmonton converted two of its three power-play opportunities against Chicago. Evan Bouchard and Leon Draisaitl accounted for a goal and an assist each, while Connor McDavid made three dishes. McDavid now has three goals and 14 assists on his season tally.
Stuart Skinner gave up two goals on 29 shots against the Blackhawks, advancing to 4-3-2 on the young season. Skinner holds a 2.52 GAA and a .900 save percentage, while Calvin Pickard is 2-1-1 with a troublesome 3.50 GAA and a .846 save percentage.
The Oilers are 18th in the NHL in both goals for (3.15 per game) and goals against (3.08). They lead the league in power-play percentage (12-for-36), but there’s arguably a lot of room for improvement in Edmonton’s game. The Oilers are 18th in shooting percentage (10.8%) and 15th in penalty killing (25-for-31).
The Blues are free-falling
The St. Louis Blues extended their losing streak to seven games this past Saturday, suffering a 3-2 defeat at the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Blues outshot the Jackets 39-35, but it wasn’t enough. St. Louis went 0-for-2 with the man advantage and gave up three straight goals after taking an early lead.
During their losing streak, the Blues have allowed 32 goals. Jordan Binnington has taken five of those seven defeats, and the veteran netminder is now 2-4-2 with a 3.21 GAA and a .860 save percentage in 2025-26.
Joel Hofer has gone 1-3-0 with a hideous 5.16 GAA and a .829 save percentage this season. The Blues surrender a staggering 4.17 goals per game (tied for 31st in the NHL) while scoring 2.83 goals in return (20th). They are 11th in the league in power-play percentage (8-for-34) and 27th in penalty killing (23-for-33).
Jordan Kyrou leads the charge for St. Louis with four goals and four assists, while Jimmy Snuggerud and Pius Sutter have amassed three goals and four assists each. The Blues cannot count on winger Jake Neighbours (G6, A1). Center Robert Thomas (G1, A5) is questionable for Monday’s game against Edmonton.
Oilers vs. Blues Pick
Moneyline Pick for Oilers vs. Blues
- Edmonton Oilers (5 units)
The Oilers haven’t been at their best so far this season. Their defense leaves a lot to be desired, but there’s no way I’m going to back the slumping Blues, whose defense has been horrendous over the last few weeks.
I have to see more from the Blues’ goaltending, too. St. Louis will eventually break out of its funk, but until that happens, I can only bet against the Blues. The Oilers’ offense should make a difference in this game.
Over/Under Pick for Oilers vs. Blues
- Over 6.0 (5 units)
As I mentioned, the Blues’ defense has been one of the worst in the league so far this season, and their goaltending hasn’t been much better. Although St. Louis misses Jake Neighbours, I can only look at the over when it comes to the total in this game.
The Oilers’ offense is considered one of the best in the NHL. Edmonton’s top two lines are loaded with talent, and Connor McDavid might be the best forward in hockey. Leon Draisaitl is among the best, for sure, so I expect the Oilers to take full advantage of the Blues’ shortcomings.
The over is 4-2 in the Oilers’ last six games overall, and it is 5-1 in the Blues’ previous six.
