Canadiens vs. Avalanche Pick
Canadiens vs. Avalanche Puckline Pick
- Avalanche -1.5 (+125)
Montreal started the season strong but entered Friday winners of just three of their last 10 games. Facing an Avalanche squad that has just one loss in regulation entering Friday while leading the league in goals and goals against per game, you have to be concerned about the visitor’s chances. Both teams are playing the second game of a back-to-back and their third game in four nights here, but Colorado is used to playing at altitude while Montreal isn’t. That will take a toll on the Canadiens as fatigue will be exacerbated. With the way Colorado is playing, they’re a wagon right now. Back the Avalanche at home here.
Canadiens vs. Avalanche Over/Under Pick
- Under 6.5 (4 units)
Montreal comes into this game having seen the over post a 16-4-2 mark in their 22 games on the season. The Canadiens have an average of 6.96 goals per game this season and that number slips slightly to 6.60 goals per game in their 10 road games on the year entering Friday. Colorado has seen the under post a 14-9 mark in their 23 games on the season. The Avalanche have seen an average of 6.17 goals per game on the year and that number bumps to 6.81 goals per game in their 11 home contests. With both teams tired and Colorado’s ability to stifle opposing teams, this game falls short of the mark.
