Predators vs. Blackhawks, Odds, Picks and Prediction for Friday, November 28, 2025
Nashville Predators (7-12-4) vs. Chicago Blackhawks (10-8-5)
Black Friday brings a huge 15-game NHL card, so we are breaking down the Central Division showdown from United Center in Chicago, IL, to get you the Predators vs. Blackhawks prediction.
Nashville meets Chicago for the first time this season. The Predators took three out of four games from the Blackhawks in 2024-25, and Chicago has only won one of its previous eight encounters with Nashville.
Let’s look closer at this Predators vs. Blackhawks prediction, one of our NHL picks for Friday’s slate. It’s a pick ‘em contest with a total of 6.0 goals, and the puck drop is set at 8:00 PM ET.

The Predators aim for a rare consecutive win
The Nashville Predators put an end to their three-game losing streak last Wednesday. After consecutive defeats against the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-0, the Colorado Avalanche 3-0, and the Florida Panthers 8-3, the Predators beat the Detroit Red Wings 6-3.
The clash in Detroit was tied at 3-3, and the Predators scored three unanswered goals late in the third period to see off the Red Wings’ challenge. Center Ryan O’Reilly led the way with a goal and two assists, while Justus Annunen posted 28 saves for his first win of the season.
Annunen is 1-3-1 with an ugly 3.89 GAA and a .850 save percentage in 2025-26, while Juuse Saros carries a 6-9-3 record with an underwhelming 3.09 GAA and a .889 save percentage. The Predators allow 3.65 goals per game (30th in the NHL) and score just 2.48 goals in return (31st).
O’Reilly has amassed seven goals and nine assists thus far, while Filip Forsberg has recorded nine goals and eight assists. The Predators cannot count on a couple of wingers, as Cole Smith (G3) and Zachary L’Heureux are both on the IR.
The Blackhawks hope to snap their four-game skid
The Chicago Blackhawks have struggled a lot over the last seven days. They’ve dropped four straight contests against the Seattle Kraken 3-2, the Buffalo Sabres 9-3, the Colorado Avalanche 1-0, and the Minnesota Wild 4-3 in overtime.
Last Wednesday, the Blackhawks outshot the Wild 37-24. Chicago blew a 2-0 lead before Artyom Levshunov scored his first goal of the season to give the Blackhawks a 3-2 lead early in the third period, but it wasn’t enough.
Spencer Knight gave up four goals on 24 shots last Wednesday, falling to 7-5-4 on the season. He has a solid 2.48 GAA and a .920 save percentage, while Arvid Soderblom is 3-3-1 with a troublesome 3.46 GAA and a .881 save percentage. Chicago allows 2.83 goals per game (12th in the NHL) and scores 3.13 goals in return (tied for 10th).
Connor Bedard continues to impress. The 20-year-old center had a goal and an assist against Minnesota to increase his season tally to 33 points (G14, A19). The Blackhawks miss winger Nick Foligno (A6), while fellow winger Andre Burakovsky (G7, A8) is questionable for Friday’s game against Nashville.
Predators vs. Blackhawks Pick
Moneyline Pick for Predators vs. Blackhawks
- Chicago Blackhawks -110 (5 units)
Andre Burakovsky is in danger of missing his fourth straight game. He was labeled a game-time decision last Wednesday. The Blackhawks need him back on the ice, but I expect Chicago to put an end to its losing streak even if Burakovsky remains on the shelf.
It’s hard to trust the Predators despite that 6-3 win at Detroit. Nashville has only won two of its previous 10 games overall. The Preds’ goaltending has been pretty bad this season, and Juuse Saros gave up five goals in that 8-3 defeat to Florida in just 21:24 on the ice.
Spencer Knight will be fired up to bounce back from his bad performance against Minnesota. Knight is having a good season and holds a 2.36 GAA and a .925 save percentage in November.
Over/Under Pick for Predators vs. Blackhawks
- Under 6.0 (5 units)
As I noted above, the Predators couldn’t find the back of the net in two of their previous four outings. Their offense has struggled a lot this season, so I’m not going to rely on Nashville’s six-goal display against Detroit.
I would rather lean on Spencer Knight and take the under. Hopefully, the Predators’ defense won’t fall apart as it did against Florida. The Blackhawks’ offense is one of the most pleasant surprises of the season, but Chicago still takes just 25.4 shots per game.
Just one of the previous six encounters between Nashville and Chicago has seen more than six goals on the scoreboard.
