On the defensive end, the Islanders rank 28th, allowing 31 shots and 3.4 goals per game. In goal, David Rittich is 2-0 with a 2.01 GAA and .939 save percentage, while Ilya Sorokin is 2-3 with a 3.90 GAA and .873 save percentage.
The Flyers have been strong at home

Both teams have been able to win on the road in this series recently, with New York going 3-1 in their last four games against the Flyers in Philadelphia. The Islanders also hold much more upside on the offensive end, and have gotten a defensive boost in games that David Rittich has started this season at goalie. Rittich is a 33-year-old veteran, was with the Los Angeles Kings last season.
The Flyers are dead last in the NHL in offensive shot attempts, giving them less room for error. When New York gets going, they have shown they can embarrass teams, so I have to back them here for plus money.
