Islanders vs. Mammoth Pick
Islanders vs. Mammoth Puckline Pick
- Mammoth -1.5 (+125)
New York has had their issues keeping the puck out of their own net this season, and they are playing the second game of a back-to-back situation. The Islanders have their work cut out for them as Utah has the rest advantage and home ice in their favor. Utah is 5-1-0 at home this season and showed grit by rallying to down Buffalo at home Wednesday night. New York entered Thursday 4-3-1 on the road this season, but it’s tough to get excited about a team playing their second game in 24 hours. Throw in the fact that Rittich is a mediocre goaltender at best and Utah skates away with the victory in this contest.
Islanders vs. Mammoth Over/Under Pick
- Over 6.5 (-110) (4 units)
New York has seen the over hit in 11 of their 16 games on the year. The Islanders have an average total of 6.50 goals per game and that number is 6.38 goals per game on the road on the year in their eight contests entering Thursday. Utah entered Thursday with the over posting a 9-8 mark in their first 17 games on the year. The Mammoth have posted an average total of 6.35 goals per game this season and that number barely shifts to 6.33 goals per game on home ice in their six games as the hosts. This one has the makings of a 5-2 or 5-3 type of game, putting this game over the total.
