Use Code WWWC Philadelphia Flyers (8-5-3) vs. St. Louis Blues (6-8-3)
The 2025-26 NHL season goes on Friday, November 14, with the Philadelphia Flyers facing off against the St. Louis Blues in the cross-conference clash at Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO, so we’ve got the Flyers vs. Blues prediction to get you covered.
The Flyers meet the Blues for the first time this term. Last season, Philadelphia swept its two-game set against St. Louis. The Flyers outlasted the Blues 2-1 at home and 3-2 in overtime at Enterprise Center.
Philadelphia has won five of its previous seven games against St. Louis. Now, let’s look closer at this Flyers vs. Blues prediction, one of our NHL picks for Friday’s slate. St. Louis opens as a -138 moneyline fave with a total of 5.5 goals.
The Flyers look to snap a two-game skid
The Philadelphia Flyers have gone 2-2-2 over their previous six outings. After consecutive defeats in regulation against the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-2 and the Calgary Flames 2-1 and a couple of wins versus the Montreal Canadiens 5-4 SO and the Nashville Predators 3-1, the Flyers suffered overtime losses to the Ottawa Senators 3-2 and the Edmonton Oilers 2-1.

Last Wednesday, the Flyers took just 21 shots toward Edmonton’s goalie, but they found a way to earn a point. Matvei Michkov converted one of Philadelphia’s three power plays, while Dan Vladar posted 30 saves.
Vladar is now 6-3-1 with a 2.15 GAA and a .919 save percentage in 2025-26. Samuel Ersson (2-1-2; 3.03 GAA; .866 SV%) returned from the IR in a home loss against the Senators last Saturday, and he might get the nod on Friday. Philadelphia visits St. Louis on the first night of a back-to-back, and the Flyers travel to Dallas on Saturday.
The Flyers allow just 2.56 goals per game (tied for 3rd in the NHL) and score 2.56 goals in return (29th). No team has taken fewer shots than Philadelphia this season (24.6 per game). Trevor Zegras leads the way with four goals and 12 assists, and he hasn’t found the back of the net in six straight games.
The Blues hope to stay on the winning path
The St. Louis Blues started the month of November with a 3-2 defeat at the Columbus Blue Jackets, which was their seventh loss in a row. Since then, the Blues have gone 3-1-1, alternating wins and losses in the process.
Last Tuesday, the Blues outlasted the Calgary Flames 3-2 at home. St. Louis nearly blew a three-goal lead, and Jordan Binnington led the charge with 38 saves. Three skaters found the back of the net, while Oskar Sundqvist made two dishes.
Binnington is now 4-5-2 with a 3.21 GAA and a .873 save percentage, while Joel Hofer carries a 2-3-1 record with a 4.05 GAA and a .865 save percentage. The Blues will host the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday, so we might see Hofer between the pipes on Friday.
St. Louis ranks 31st in the NHL in goals against (3.76 per game) and 24th in goals for (2.76). Pius Suter is a lone guy with points in double figures (G5, A5). Jake Neighbours (G6, A1) is on the IR, while Mathieu Joseph (G2, A4) is questionable for Friday’s clash against Philadelphia.
Flyers vs. Blues Pick
Spread Pick for Flyers vs. Blues
- St. Louis Blues (5 units)
The Blues desperately need more from their goaltending duo. Jordan Binnington has emerged victorious in two of his previous three starts, and he was outstanding last time out. It makes sense for the Blues to start Binnington on Friday because it’s a much winnable game than Saturday’s clash against Vegas.
Anyway, I expect to see a tight battle between the Flyers and Blues. Three of the Flyers’ previous four contests have gone overtime, and this clash could easily go past regulation, too.
I don’t like the Flyers’ offense, so I will go with the Blues. Philadelphia is 29th in the league in expected goals for at even strength, whereas St. Louis ranks seventh in this category.
Over/Under Pick for Flyers vs. Blues
- Under 5.5 (5 units)
As I noted, the Flyers take the fewest shots per game in the NHL. Philadelphia leans on its defense, and the Flyers are third in the league in penalty killing (88.7%). The Blues have struggled with the man down (70.4%, 29th), but they are ninth in power-play percentage (24.4%).
I will ride the betting trends when it comes to the total in this game. The under is 4-1 in the Flyers’ last five games overall, and it is 4-2 in the Blues’ previous six. Also, four of the past five encounters between Philadelphia and St. Louis have gone under the total.
