The Seattle Kraken face the Utah Mammoth, with both teams looking to improve on rough seasons. The Kraken are 12-10-6 and with only one win in the last seven games, they have fallen into sixth place in the Pacific Division. The Mammoth are 14-15-3, and three losses in a row have them on the outside of the playoff picture in the Western Conference. Who will win this game? Check out our Kraken vs Mammoth prediction!

Our NHL Predictions are sure to provide a great payout. Check them out!

Seattle has been let down by a hapless offense

The Kraken are having an awful season with their offense letting them down, scoring only 2.50 goals per game with only 15 goals in the last seven games. Jordan Eberle and Matty Beniers have scored 13 goals and 22 assists, while defenseman Vince Dunn has added five goals and 12 assists, but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only three skaters have six goals or more, and opponents can eliminate the hapless offense as a result.

The offense has struggled, but the defense has been a bright spot, allowing only 2.93 goals per game. Adam Larsson and Brandon Montour have combined for 2.7 defensive point shares, while Vince Dunn and Jamie Oleksiak have combined for 2.5 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. The hope is that Joey Daccord rebounds as he’s unraveled lately, allowing 15 goals in his last four starts.

Kraken vs Mammoth Pick

Money Line Pick For Kraken vs Mammoth

  • Mammoth (-170) (4 units)

Both teams are looking to rebound from rough stretches but the Mammoth look to take over this game on their home ice and have the edge throughout the night. The Mammoth should create plenty of scoring chances against Joey Daccord, who has allowed 15 goals in his last four starts, with Clayton Keller, Nick Schmaltz, and the rest of the forward unit carrying the puck into the offensive zone while creating open shots with quick passes. The Mammoth should limit a Kraken offense that averages only 2.50 goals per game, with Ian Cole and John Marino creating turnovers in the defensive zone while limiting shots on the net, allowing goaltender Karel Vejmelka to make plenty of big saves. The Mammoth should win the game with a strong performance on their home ice.

Take the Mammoth money line as home Favorites.

Over/Under Pick For Kraken vs Mammoth

  • Under 5.5 (5 Units)

Both teams have been awful on offense, and this game looks to be a low-scoring one from the opening puck drop. The Kraken, who allow only 2.93 goals per game, should limit the Utah offense, which has scored only five goals in the last three games, with Adam Larsson, Brandon Montour, and the rest of the defensive unit creating turnovers in the defensive zone while limiting shots on the net, allowing goaltender Joey Daccord to make plenty of big saves. The Mammoth, who allow only 2.94 goals per game, should eliminate a Kraken offense that has scored only 15 goals in the last seven games, with John Marino, Mikhail Sergachev, Ian Cole, and the rest of the defensive unit forcing turnovers in the defensive zone while limiting shots on the net, allowing goaltender Karel Vejmelka to blanks the shots on the net. The Under should cover in a low-scoring game with both defenses stepping up.

Take the Under on 5.5 goals.
