Lightning vs. Red Wings Moneyline Pick

  • Lightning -118 (4 units)

These teams has trended in different directions of late as the Lightning have won five straight games while the Red Wings have dropped three of their previous four. Detroit has surrendered at least three goals in eight of their last 10 games and at least four in six of those contests. That’s bad news against a Lightning team that is eighth in the league in goals per game and who has outscored the opposition 20-6 in their five-game win streak. Tampa Bay may start Johansson but their offensive attack, combined with Detroit’s recent issues, gives the visitors the upper hand in this contest.

Lightning vs. Red Wings Over/Under Pick

  • Under 6.5 (4 units)

Tampa Bay has seen the under post a 12-10-1 mark in their 23 games this season in relation to the total entering Friday night. The Lightning have seen an average of 5.87 goals per game this season and that number bumps up to 5.90 goals per game in 10 road games this season. Detroit enters this game having seen the over post a 12-8-4 mark in their 24 games this season. The Red Wings have seen an average total of 6.25 goals per game though that number climbs to an average of 6.79 goals per game in their 14 home games on the year. We’ve seen the under post a 6-3-1 mark in the last 10 meetings. Look for this one to wind up falling short of the mark.
