The Winnipeg Jets head to Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA, on Thursday night to take on the Seattle Kraken in the Western Conference clash with the puck drop at 10:00 PM ET, so we have prepared the Jets vs. Kraken prediction to get you covered.
Winnipeg and Seattle lock horns for the second time this season. Last month, the Kraken blanked the Jets 3-0 at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, upsetting the odds as +175 road underdogs.

The Jets are back on track
The Winnipeg Jets put an end to their three-game losing streak last Tuesday. After consecutive road defeats against the Los Angeles Kings 3-0, the San Jose Sharks 2-1, and the Anaheim Ducks 4-1, the Jets beat the Vancouver Canucks 5-3 as -120 road favorites.

Connor Hellebuyck posted 30 saves at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, while five skaters found the back of the net. Defenseman Josh Morrissey led the charge with a goal and two assists, increasing his season tally to 16 points (G3, A13).
Hellebuyck snapped his two-game skid, and the 32-year-old netminder is now 7-5-0 with a 2.36 GAA and a .921 save percentage in 2025-26. Eric Comrie serves as a backup and carries a 3-1-0 record with a 2.75 GAA and a .908 save percentage.
The Jets are sixth in the NHL in goals against (2.63 per game) and 12th in goals for (3.25). Center Mark Scheifele leads the way with nine goals and 12 assists, though he hasn’t scored a goal in five straight outings. Winger Gustav Nyquist (A5) is questionable for Thursday’s game against Seattle.
The Kraken need more from their offense
The Seattle Kraken are 2-2-3 in their last seven games overall. They will try to avoid the third straight loss when the Jets come to town. In their previous two outings, the Kraken lost 2-1 at the Dallas Stars and 2-1 to the Columbus Blue Jackets in a shootout.
Last Tuesday, the Blue Jackets outshot the Kraken 34-23 at Climate Pledge Arena and fully deserved to win. Ryan Winterton scored for Seattle, while Matt Murray posted 33 saves before yielding two goals on four shots in a shootout.
Matt Murray is now 0-2-1 with a 2.13 GAA and a .926 save percentage in 2025-26, while Philipp Grubauer is 1-0-1 with a 2.49 GAA and a .875 save percentage. Joey Daccord (6-2-3; 2.83 GAA; .900 SV%) is on the IR, which is a huge blow for the Kraken.
Seattle allows 2.75 goals per game (9th in the NHL) and scores just 2.50 goals in return (30th). The Kraken are dead last in the league in high-danger scoring chances. Winger Jordan Eberle and center Jaden Schwartz lead the charge for Seattle with five goals and six assists each.
Jets vs. Kraken Pick
Spread Pick for Jets vs. Kraken
- Winnipeg Jets -1.5 (5 units)
The Jets outshot the Kraken 32-28 in their first meeting of the season, but Joey Daccord had a big game in the crease. Now, the Kraken cannot count on Daccord, and I expect the Jets to get revenge.
Winnipeg is arguably a better offensive team than Seattle. The Jets are 31st in the league in high-danger scoring chances (41.2%), but they boast the eighth-best shooting percentage (12.0%).
Moreover, Seattle struggles to defend with a man down. The Kraken rank 30th in penalty killing (69.7%), whereas the Jets are sixth in this category (85.7%). Winnipeg went 2-for-4 with the man advantage in that 5-3 win over Vancouver.
Over/Under Pick for Jets vs. Kraken
- Under 5.5 (5 units)
Seattle misses winger Jared McCann (G3, A1), and the Kraken’s offense has been pretty bad so far this season. Now, the Kraken will take on one of the best goalies in the NHL, so Seattle will lean on its defense once more.
The Kraken will slow things down as much as possible. They’ll take a cautious approach and try to take advantage of the Jets’ mistakes. The under is 7-3 in Seattle’s last 10 games overall, and it is 7-3 in the previous 10 encounters between the Kraken and Jets. I would ride these betting trends.
