What Is a PGA Tour Parlay?
A parlay combines multiple selections into a single wager.
All legs generally need to win for the parlay to cash, although settlement rules can vary depending on ties, withdrawals, pushes and the sportsbook being used.
Common PGA parlay legs can include:
Top 5, Top 10 and Top 20 Finishes
Placement markets allow bettors to back golfers to finish within a specific section of the leaderboard without requiring them to win the tournament.
Tournament Matchups
These markets compare two golfers over the full tournament. The selected player generally needs to finish ahead of the listed opponent under the sportsbook's settlement rules.
Make or Miss the Cut
A cut prop focuses on whether a player will advance beyond the opening rounds in tournaments that use a standard cut.
Round Matchups
Single-round matchups compare two golfers over 18 holes and can be particularly sensitive to tee times, wind and changing weather.
Outright Winners
Some parlay markets may allow outright tournament selections, although adding a long-priced winner can dramatically reduce the probability of the entire ticket cashing.
Two-Leg PGA Parlays
Two-leg parlays are the simplest way to combine golf selections.
A ticket could pair two Top 20 selections, two tournament matchups or different types of markets from the same tournament when the sportsbook permits that combination.
The important point is that each leg still needs to make sense on its own.
Adding a weak selection simply to increase the payout also creates another way for the entire wager to lose.
Three-Leg PGA Parlays
Three-leg parlays offer a larger payout but also require one additional result to go correctly.
Golf already contains significant week-to-week variance, so adding more legs can make a parlay considerably harder to cash.

There is no requirement that every PGA tournament produce a parlay recommendation.
PGA Finishing Position Parlays
Top 10 and Top 20 markets are common building blocks for golf parlays because they do not require a player to win the tournament.
Recent form, approach play, driving, putting and course characteristics can all help explain a golfer's chances of remaining near the top of the leaderboard.
The price still matters.
A golfer who looks likely to contend can still be expensive enough that his Top 20 or Top 10 number offers little appeal. Each finishing-position market should be evaluated separately rather than assuming that the same player belongs in every type of bet.

PGA Tournament Matchup Parlays
Tournament matchups compare specific golfers rather than requiring a player to beat the entire field.
Course fit, current ball striking, putting, recent form and the strengths of the opponent can all influence a matchup.
A golfer can be an attractive outright candidate and still face a difficult tournament matchup. Likewise, a player with limited winning upside may still be a strong matchup option against the right opponent.
That is why matchup legs should be judged on the individual comparison rather than a golfer's overall reputation.
Course and Weather Considerations
Every PGA Tour venue creates a different set of challenges.
Long courses can increase the importance of distance. Narrow fairways and penal rough can reward accuracy. Small greens can put more pressure on approach play and scrambling.
Weather can also have an unusually large impact on golf.
Wind, rain and changing temperatures can alter scoring conditions throughout the day. At some tournaments, golfers in different tee-time waves can face noticeably different conditions.
Those factors become especially important when a parlay includes round matchups or other time-sensitive markets.
PGA Parlays and Betting Odds
Parlay payouts depend on the prices of the individual legs.
Adding another selection increases the potential return, but it also reduces the probability that every required outcome will occur.
For that reason, a larger payout is not automatically a better wager.
Prices can also vary between sportsbooks, particularly for golf placement and matchup markets. Comparing available odds before placing a ticket can materially change the final parlay payout.
