UNLV’s defense could not get a stop as New Mexico grabbed the lead and eventual win in the final few minutes of the game.

UNLV quarterback Anthony Colandrea threw for 382 yards on 36-for-46 passing with three touchdowns and zero interceptions. The rushing attack did very little as they accumulated just 92 yards on the ground. UNLV turned the ball over three times, which was their downfall. UNLV allowed New Mexico to accumulate 532 yards of offense.

Colandrea has thrown for 2,000 yards and has completed 69% of his passes with 15 touchdowns and four picks. Running back Jai’Den Thomas leads the team with 649 yards and seven touchdowns on the year.

On defense, UNLV is led in tackles by Marsel McDuffie with 62 tackles,12 more than anyone else. Tunmise Adeleye has a team-high three sacks on the year. The defense is led by Aamaris Brown with four interceptions as the team has forced 17 turnovers.

On defense, Colorado State is led in tackles by linebacker Owen Long. He has 103 tackles, which is one of the best marks in the nation. The defense has only picked up nine sacks. The defense has forced 10 turnovers on the year, too.

Halfway through October, Jay Norvell was fired as the head coach of Colorado State after four seasons with the Rams. Tyson Summers, the former defensive coordinator, is now the interim head coach.
