Seattle Storm Search for Another Win Over Chicago

Seattle has lost four of its last five games, but the Storm's only victory during that stretch came against Chicago. Seattle averages 83.4 points while shooting 43.5% from the field and 32.6% from beyond the arc. Dominique Malonga leads the Storm with 17.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game while shooting 50.7%. Natisha Hiedeman contributes 15.6 points and 4.8 assists, giving Seattle another reliable scoring option in the backcourt.

The Storm allow 88.6 points per game, with opponents shooting 43.6% overall and 31.8% from three-point range. Seattle has surrendered at least 92 points in four of its last five games, although Portland scored only 84 on Friday. The Storm average 7.6 steals and 4.3 blocks but also commit 14.1 turnovers per game.

Injuries: Flau'jae Johnson is out with an ankle injury, removing 13.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.4 steals from Seattle's lineup Sunday.

Chicago Sky vs Seattle Storm Game Pick

  • Chicago Sky -1.5

Chicago is the game pick at -1.5 despite its recent road problems. The Sky have the stronger scoring numbers, averaging 87.7 points compared with Seattle's 83.4, and Chicago shoots 44.6% from the field compared with Seattle's 43.5%. Seattle won the previous meeting 97-88, but the Storm have lost four of five and will be without Johnson. Cardoso provides Chicago with a strong interior option, while Cloud can create opportunities for teammates. Chicago -1.5 is the choice in a close matchup.

Chicago Sky vs Seattle Storm Over/Under Pick

  • Over 179.5

The over 179.5 is the total pick based on the scoring patterns from these teams and their recent defensive results. Their August 10 meeting produced 185 points, with Seattle winning 97-88. Chicago has allowed at least 90 points in four of its last five games, while Seattle has surrendered 92 or more in four of five. The Sky average 87.7 points per game, and both defenses allow more than 88. With enough scoring opportunities on each end, another high total is likely Sunday.
