Las Vegas enters the Commissioner’s Cup final at 14-5 after defeating the Chicago Sky 107-99 on Sunday. The Aces have won eight of their last 10 games and own a 9-2 road record, but the team that takes the floor in Brooklyn will look considerably different from the group responsible for that strong start. The Aces are also without Janiah Barker and Dana Evans, further reducing a rotation that will already be stretched by Wilson’s absence. Las Vegas will likely use more minutes from NaLyssa Smith, Cheyenne Parker-Tyus, and Stephanie Talbot, but none can individually reproduce Wilson’s two-way influence. Jones may present the more difficult structural problem. She can score with her back to the basket, finish offensive rebounds, and step outside to force opposing centers away from the rim.
