Can the Giants continue their recent dominance on Wednesday evening? Keep reading for the Giants vs. Rockies prediction. Nobody does it better when it comes to MLB Picks!

Ray Continues Dominance in 8th WIn

Robbie Ray will get the nod on Wednesday evening. Ray continued his dominance in his recent effort, conceding two runs in seven innings against the Padres, and earned yet another win. The veteran southpaw is having one of the best seasons of his career. Ray posted a 1.38 ERA last month and has delivered a sparkling 2.44 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP, accompanied by an 8-1 record in 77.1 innings pitched. Ray has struggled against the Rockies, yielding a 5.16 ERA and a 6-6 record in 103 innings.

The San Francisco Giants continue to be a huge threat in the NL West. They are only 1.5 games behind the Dodgers atop the division. The Giants won two of four home meetings against the Padres last week and registered a home sweep against the Braves on the weekend, propelled by the pitching. They kept Atlanta to only nine runs. The Giants are only 16-17 on the road.

Heliot Ramos has amassed four RBIs and a solid .825 OPS this month. The 25-year-old is having a steady season, knocking in 33 runs with an .845 OPS. Mike Yastrzemski posted three RBIs in the first series against the Rockies. The veteran outfielder has a .698 OPS. Willy Adames remains in a slump. The 29-year-old has a disastrous .231 OPS early this month and 26 RBIs and a .585 OPS on the season. Matt Chapman is on the IL.

San Francisco is averaging 4.11 runs on the year, ranking them 19th. The pitching is elite, posting a 3.04 REA, good for second.

Rockies Continue Homestand on Wednesday

The Rockies are going with Kyle Freeland on the rubber. Freeland came through with a great performance last week, conceding two runs (zero earned) in 6.2 innings against the Marlins and earned his first win of the season. The veteran is having a disappointing season. He recorded a weak 5.25 ERA last month and is sporting a poor 5.19 ERA and a 1.54 WHIP, accompanied by a 1-8 record in 67.2 innings of work on the season. Freeland conceded three runs in six innings against San Francisco last month and has issued a decent 4.20 ERA and an 8-7 record in 25 career meetings.

The Colorado Rockies resume a homestand in this one. Colorado earned a road sweep against the Marlins last week, but regressed back to the usual struggles after the Mets handed them another sweep on the weekend. The squad only managed to score five runs while conceding 18 runs. The Rockies are 6-25 at home.

Ezequiel Tovar has not been able to stay healthy and is back on the IL. He has 10 RBIs in 32 games.  Hunter Goodman continues to rake, amassing six RBIs and a 1.3 OPS in June. The 25-year-old catcher has 10 homers and a strong .810 OPS. Jordan Beck has just one RBI against the Giants this season. The 24-year-old is having a promising season, recording 20 RBIs and an .803 OPS. Brenton Doyle has knocked in one run this month. He has 22 RBIs and a .566 OPS on the season.

Colorado is scoring an average of 3.15 runs on the year, marking them last. The pitching is a glaring weakness, reporting a 5.52 ERA, pegging them 29th.

Best Bets for San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies

The San Francisco Giants are clicking. They have won five consecutive games and are determined to catch the Dodgers atop the division. The Colorado Rockies were dealt a home sweep by the Mets on the weekend. They have now dropped five consecutive home games entering Tuesday evening.

Furthermore, Giants pitcher Robbie Ray is having a dominating season. He has conceded either zero or one run in four of his past six outings. The Giants rarely lose with Ray on the mound. They have won in eight of Ray's past ten starts.. Rockies pitcher Kyle Freeland is having a disappointing season. He has surrendered four or more runs in three of his past four home outings. I recommend the run line, considering each of the Rockies' past six defeats has been by two or more runs.

Prediction: San Francisco Giants -1.5

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

I expect crooked numbers on the board. San Francisco had a dangerous series at the plate in the first series against the Rockies, plating 22 runs in four games. The Rockies have squandered 45 runs in their past six home games.

In addition, Colorado will add to this total. They have scored three or more runs in three of the four meetings against the Giants. Also, Ray has stumbled in his career against Colorado, issuing a weak 5.16 ERA. The over is 6-2 in the Rockies' past eight games against a division opponent.

Prediction: Over 10.5
