The Arizona Diamondbacks will host the Los Angeles Dodgers in the final game of a three-game series on Sunday. The Dodgers won the season oper 4-2 on Friday, and Saturday's nights game was not complete at the time of this prediction.

The Dodgers have dominated the season series winning 15 out of the 17 head-to-head games. The Dodgers are scheduled to start Julio Urias, who is 18-3 with a 3.10 ERA and 1.03 WHIP on Sunday. The Diamondbacks will be starting Humberto Mejia, who is 0-2 with a 7.20 ERA and 1.80 WHIP.

Dodgers fighting to avoid WIld Card Game

The Los Angeles Dodgers are second in the NL West and have the second-best record in baseball at 99-55. As great as the season has been, the Dodgers will be forced to play a single-elimination game against in the NL Wild Card round if they can not pass the San Fransico Giants, who they currently trail by three games. The Dodgers have a +249 run differential on the season, which is tops in the National League. Los Angeles is averaging over five runs per game, fifth in MLB offensively, and the pitching staff is first with a 2.98 ERA.

The Dodgers have won 11 of their last 13 games. On the season, the Dodgers have seven position players with a 2.5 WAR or better. Max Muncy leads the team with a 5.1 WAR, 35 home runs, and 90 RBI. Mookie Betts is second with a 4.4 WAR, leading the team with a .374 on-base percentage to go along with 21 home runs and 10 steals.

DIamondbacks have not perfomed well against the Dodgers

The Arizona Diamondbacks are dead-last in the National League West, with a Major League worst 49-105 record and 29-47 at home. The struggles have been consistent, with the team losing 20 of the last 25 games.

Arizona is 25th in MLB, scoring 4.2 runs per game and a .237 batting average. The current Diamondbacks lineup is not very imposing, with Ketel Marte and Carson Kelly leading the team with 12 home runs.

Insiders Status:

It's hard to find a bigger mismatch than this. This game features the current World Series favorite against the worst team in the National League. The Dodgers have won the last six games against the Diamondbacks by at least two runs or more. Urias has a 6-1 lifetime record and 1.77 ERA in eight lifetime games against the Diamondbacks, and I expect to see another runline Dodgers win here.

Prediction: Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

The Dodgers pitching staff is the best in baseball, but they also have an offense that could put up a lot of runs in this matchup. The Diamondbacks have played to the over in 57% of their games this season, which is the second-highest amount in MLB. The over is also 6-1 in the last seven games played between the Diamondbacks and Dodgers. Take the over here.

Prediction: Over
