After going through a rough week, the Houston Astros will be trying to bounce back with a series win over the Detroit Tigers. Game 2 of the four-game series will be played at Minute Maid Park on Tuesday night and is scheduled to begin at 8:10 PM. ET.

Spencer Turnbull, 3-11, 3.75 ERA, will get the start for the Tigers. The Astros will counter with Aaron Sanchez, 5-14, 5.79 ERA.

Tigers Trying To End Road Woes

The Tigers haven’t played well this season, but they have been particularly bad on the road and have lost 16 of their 20 road games since the All-Star break. Even though the odds are firmly against them, they will be trying to end their losing streak to the Astros by picking up a rare road win on Tuesday.

Offensively, Detroit is the worst team in the league. The team’s .235 batting average is 30th in the league. Their .293 on-base percentage is also 30th, while their .385 slugging percentage is 29th in the league. The 440 runs they have scored is 30th in the league.

Miguel Cabrera leads the Tigers with a .278 batting average and 48 RBI, while Brandon Dixon leads the team with 14 home runs.

Detroit’s pitching also ranks near the bottom of the league. Opponents have a .270 batting average against the Tigers, which is 27th in the league. Their 5.12 ERA is 28th, while their 34 quality starts are 26th in the league.

In his last start, Turnbull gave up six hits and three earned runs in five innings, leading to a 7-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners. The team will need a better performance from him to beat Houston on Tuesday.
