The Orlando Magic will host the Detroit Pistons in an Eastern Conference battle on Tuesday night. The last-place Pistons scoring woes continued in Sunday’s 105-96 road loss in Orlando.

The Magic are playing well right now and are aiming for their fourth consecutive victory in Tuesday’s rematch.

Pistons Topped by Magic in Sunday's Clash

The Detroit Pistons resume a five-game road trip in this one. Detroit recently won two straight but have since lost the first three games of this road swing. They struggled offensively in Sunday’s 105-96 road loss to the Magic. The Pistons stand in last place in the Eastern Conference.

Jerami Grant has been one of the few bright spots for the Pistons this season. The 26-year old small forward scored 24 points in Sunday’s defeat and has come through with several big performances. Grant features an average of 23.5 PPG and 5.1 RPG. Josh Jackson is consistently producing and has scored at least 13 points in six out of his last seven games. The 24-year old guard is averaging 13 PPG on 41% shooting. Saddiq Bey is a solid young player who is steadily contributing. The rookie is averaging 13.4 points this month and 9.5 PPG on a 41.5% mark from the field. Detroit continues to play without Blake Griffin who is away from the team awaiting a trade.

The Pistons scoring is a big reason they are at the bottom of the league, averaging only 107.8 points on the year, placing them 24th overall. Detroit is squandering an average of 112.3 points, pegging them 17th in the NBA.

Magic Seek Fourth Consecutive Victory

The Orlando Magic will conclude a four-game homestand in this one. Orlando is gaining momentum, winning three consecutive games which included a decisive home victory against Golden State on Friday night. They were three-point favorites in Sunday’s 109-101 victory against the Pistons. The Magic have dealt with several key injuries this season which has definitely had an impact on their results. Aaron Gordon (13.8 PPG) remains out of the lineup.

Nikola Vucevic is in a groove, sinking at least 25 points in five out of his last seven games. The 30-year old center posted a remarkable 37 points along with 12 boards in Sunday’s winning effort and is sporting an average of 24.1 PPG and 11.7 RPG. Evan Fournier is having an outstanding month, registering an average of 22 points. The veteran shooting guard collected 29 points on Sunday and has increased his season average to 19.1 PPG and 3.9 APG. Terrance Ross has tallied 20 or more points in three out of his last four clashes. Ross has filed an average of 15.7 PPG.

Orlando is scoring an average of only 105.5 points on the season, ranking them 28th in the league. The Magic’ defense is their top strength and is limiting opponents to 110.8 points, landing them ninth in the NBA.

Best Bets for this Game

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

The Magic are playing great right now, winning three straight games and four out of their last five including Sunday’s convincing win over this Detroit squad. The Pistons are awful and have now been tagged with three losses in a row and stand last in the conference.

Furthermore, the Pistons just cannot generate enough offense to win games. They have scored 102 or fewer points in each game in their losing streak and have lost by nine or more points in back-to-back games. Orlando is also playing sharp defense, conceding an average of 101.6 points in their last three clashes.

Prediction: Orlando Magic -3

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

These foes played in a low-scoring 105-96 decision on Sunday in a game where the under cashed easily. The Pistons especially have trouble scoring on the road where they have only averaged 100 points in their last four bouts. They were limited to 37% shooting in Sunday’s loss. The under is also 4-0 in the Piston’s last four road games.

In addition, Orlando is not a high scoring team and the under has been the better play. They only converted on 43% of their field goals in Sunday’s win. The under is 4-0 in the Magic’ last four games against a team with a winning percentage below .400.

Prediction: Under 208.5

Full-Game Prop Bet

Insiders Status:

The Magic defense should prevail again in the rematch. Detroit doesn’t have many big scoring threats and Orlando is playing solid defense right now. The Pistons are terrible from three-point territory and only shot 27.5% from beyond the arc in Sunday’s defeat. Orlando should also out-rebound Detroit again in this one.

Prediction: Pistons Team Total Under 102.5

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

The first half should be close. The Magic are last in the entire NBA with an average of only 51.5 points in the opening half this season.  The Pistons’ defense hasn’t been a big issue in the first half where they have allowed an average of only 50.7 points in their last three games overall.

Prediction: Detroit Pistons +1.5
