The Dallas Mavericks will host the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night. Dallas has the seventh-best record in the Western Conference at 29-22. San Antonio is currently ninth in the conference at 24-26, sitting two games behind Memphis for the final playoff spot. Dallas has both won and covered the spread in both head-to-head meetings between these teams on the season. Dallas won 122-117 as a two-point road favorite back on January 22, and again as a 4.5 point home favorite,115-104 on March 10.

After losing to both the Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers in overtime, the Spurs lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 125-101 as an eight-point favorite on Monday, followed by back-to-back losses as a five and six-point dog to Denver, 106-96 on Wednesday, and 121-119 on Friday.

The Spurs head into Dallas, averaging 110.4 ppg, which is 21st in the NBA. They are shooting 45.9% from the floor, ranking 20th and 35.5% from the three-point range, ranking 22nd in both categories. DeRozanleads the team with 20.9 points, 7.1 assists, and a 18.8 PER.On defense, San Antonio allows 112.1 points per game, ranking 21st.

The Dallas Mavericks have won six of their last seven games. The latest setback came as a 102-93 road loss as a 10 point favorite to Houston on Wednesday. The Mavs bounced back with a 116-101 win as a 2.5 point home favorite over Milwaukee on Tuesday. Doncic led the victory over Milwaukee with 27 points, and Porzingis grabbed 17 rebounds.

On the season, Dallas is 19th averaging 111.5 ppg. They are 13th, shooting 46.83% from the field, and 17th making 36.2% from three-point range. Insiders Status:

These two teams are currently heading in the opposite direction. The Spurs need this game, but they are currently in a slump, while Dallas is playing its best basketball this season. The fact that Dallas' last loss came against a bad Houston team I believe will also help the Mavericks not overlook the Spur here. Take Dallas to cover.

Prediction: Dallas Mavericks -6

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

The Spurs have combined with opponents for more than 221 points in six of their last seven games. The Mavericks have been involved in more lower scoring matches ups lately, but I expect that to change against the Spurs. Dallas has averaged 118.5 ppg and allowed 110.5 ppg against the Spurs this season. I like the over on Saturday night.

Prediction: Over 220.5
