Jok does his part in Iowa’s loss in OT
Peter Jok might be the best player in the Big Ten this season or at least best guard. But he’s playing with a young team and doesn’t always get a lot of help. On Thursday night, he scored 34 points on 12-of-24 shooting in 41 minutes with six rebounds. At one point in the second half, Jok scored 16 straight points. But the Hawkeyes fell in double overtime at Nebraska by three and Jok fouled out fouled out in the second overtime period. Freshman guard Isaiah Moss finished with 17 points for Iowa, who fell to 1-2 in the Big Ten. Iowa shot 44.2 percent from the floor and outrbounded the Huskers by seven. But the also committed 19 turnovers and allowed Nebraska to shoot 10 of 23 from the three point line.

Iowa averages 83.9 points per game and shoot 46 percent from the floor. They allow 78.3 points per game and 42.4 percent from the floor.
College Basketball Trends:
- 2-9 ATS last 11 vs. Big Ten.
- 3-10 ATS last 13 following an ATS loss.
Hard to pick Rutgers as a dog? Not really. Going against Iowa here, who has a bunch of guys and Jok. Two straight overtimes within the last four days can’t help either. Rutgers at least plays defense and will make this a close one.
